To be clear, my problems with Dore aren’t that I disagree with his foreign policy positions—I think he has a perfectly valid opinion. Sure I disagree but that’s fine.

Hey—I don’t disagree with that. I think military intervention anywhere is a big damn deal that should be thoroughly and exhaustively debated.

I’m not defending them, but I’m guessing MSNBC’S position is: “don’t make jokes about rape. Period.”

Jimmy Dore is...difficult. He’s a smart guy and I agree with him on a lot of issues. But he often acts like he (and his chosen guests) are the sacred arbiters of “true” liberalism and that if you disagree with them on an issue then you aren’t a true progressive or liberal.

Don’t get me wrong—I have totally ordered them because of just how cheap they are. But they almost always have a $3 Chicken Fries and Large Onion Ring/Fry deal that I would just rather do when looking for something cheap and greasy.

Ironically, since they dropped that slogan I have found that Burger King is the WORST at accommodating alterations.

Yeah...I just don’t get the love for In-N-Out. I mean...it’s fine. But forget regional favorites (I would go killer burger), even national chains like Wendy’s and Carl’s Jr have better burgers. Maybe even parts of the McDonalds menu.

Cheese CAN go with fish. Especially FRIED fish.

I love how CHEAP Burger King’s nuggets are, but at least up in the Northwest (I know there is some regional variation for some fast food products) they’re just bad. Even fresh they have zero crisp or tear. Just a kind of mushy coating that seems like it came from a microwaved frozen nugget.

Really like Wendy’s, but since the disappearance of the spicy nuggets I’m gonna fall down hard on the “battered” McDonalds side of this debate vs the “breaded” Wendy’s side. I just love the “tear” you get out of a McNugget.

I get that people didn’t like this, but I kind of wish they had just moved it to after the credits rather than pulling it entirely. I was interested in seeing it, even if I honestly didn’t hold out a lot of hope for it being GOOD.

If Al Fraken did something illegal, then a prosecutor can decide whether to press charges. Or, of course, Tweeden could press a civil suit.

Um, I actually don’t remember anything about them saying Max had a sister.

Yes?

I can totally respect that. And you’re not WRONG, as I said I personally didn’t really like the scene when I saw it. I guess my counter-arguments would simply be that:

To be fair, we have at least one clear example of a female character Eleven has reason to fear—Agent Frazier. That was an example of a large, gruff male figure being killed (by a woman) after giving her aid.

I would agree that Stranger Things wouldn’t have been harmed by the addition of another castmember of color (though that’s not accurate of all shows) but it’s not wrong to note that the one they already have IS ALREADY a diversion for the sake of diversity.

I’m of two minds about that episode (and, really, Eleven’s entire pre-episode 9 arc).

That’s true. It’s one of the reasons Lucas was consistently my least favorite character of the last season. He grew on me a lot here (mostly because Caleb McLaughlin was given more room for some great comic acting) but is still probably my least favorite of the kids BECAUSE of his Season 1 reaction to Eleven.

Agreed.
