Wasn’t there some comment from Musk that his cars will float for a while? I’d submit that with my claim against Tesla.

PHEVs are all that most people really need anyway. Just like how most people who “need” to have trucks would be better off with a minivan from a functional perspective.
Because of course an Ultima would be involved.
Man, that’s a throwback!
well for the price it is a large SUV with a 3rd row, so from that standpoint it’s not too pricey. And 300 mile range from a brick is pretty impressive.
Is it political to want to have an effective and ready military?
“Your a shit cyclist if you ride in the sidewalk.”
LOL nobody said you have to get it. That’s why they’re called accidents. They’re not intentional. But it’s absolutely true that chances of serious injury when a cyclist gets hit by a car is order of magnitude higher than if a cyclist hits a pedestrian. I’ve know of a number of incidents where cyclists got hit by cars…
“he site found that despite millions being invested in cycling infrastructure across America”
That’s why there need to be either dedicated trails completely separate from roads, or bike lanes with lane dividers. I would love to ride to work most days when the weather is perfectly suitable for it, but I’m not willing to risk my life for it.
Good thing the weather isn’t always like that. And have you heard of e-bikes?
“One of the things we need to emphasize is education.”
“but all they’re doing is transferring their risk of injury to me as a pedestrian. And I absolutely resent that.”
People underestimate the distance they can easily travel on a bike. Especially something like an e-bike that can either assist with power or flat out propel you all by itself for many miles. I’d say 90% is too large of an estimate, but we don’t need bike infrastructure everywhere. Just in places that make sense and…
You don’t have to bike every single day. It’s not an all-or-nothing situation. I definitely wouldn’t on bad weather days or when it’s really hot, but there are still a lot of days that it would be great.
I would love to bike to work, but I would only do it on a dedicated bike trail or a bike lan on the road that has some kind of physical barrier between me and the car lanes. A large speed bump at minimum that could deflect a car veering into the bike lane as the idiot behind the wheel stares at their phone.
pretty close to a 2000 f150 and definitely larger than a 2000 ranger.
Actually, the interim speaker doesn’t have that power. All he can do is recess the house, adjourn the chamber, and recognizer speaker nominations. Basically, congress can’t do anything until there is an elected speaker. If one is not elected in 45 days we’re screwed. But also whoever is elected will need to basically…
The tax credit exists, but I forgot the car has to sell for under $25k before ht credit.
