Question is, are we locked in for at least one more year of tax credits form the Inflation Reduction Act for 2025, or can Trump and congress pull the plug this year, and people who plan to get the credit on their 2025 tax return could have the rug pulled out from under them?

“give the states the power back... except for things I don’t like!”

The difference is usually based on max speed. A lot of e-bikes are throttled on how fast they can go because of that speed distinction. Under 25-30mph I think. Otherwise many e-bikes could go faster with their existing motors/batteries.

I don’t see how this will hurt anyone who currently drives into manhattan. I imagine this fee is pocket change compared with the cost of parking! I doubt anyone actually paying to park in manhattan can be labeled as “working poor”.

lol

What do Jeep purists care if they’re taking of their doors to drive with their legs hanging out anyway??

So true!

I bet The Delorean sold like crazy at first.

Same here. Must be advertising glitchiness

I could rant on that nobody is actually using these as trucks, but honestly the same could probably be said about most other EV truck sales. So to me it seems almost wrothless to talk about them in their own category as if they are being used distinctively from other EV vehicles.

That’s why I’m looking very closely at the Escape PHEV. 30 Miles a day is more than enough to get the family around town and we still have the gas engine for occasional out of town trips. And with the $7,500 discount the PHEV model equipped comparably with the higher trim models, it really is an easy decision.

The problem with that is if you buy an EV with a J1772 charging port now and 5 years from now all of the L3 chargers are on the Tesla standard. You are stuck with a car that can’t find a place for L3 charging and will be basically worthless when you do try to offload it.

If they took the credit and then sold it as “new” so the buyer could also take credit, that is called tax fraud.

Cool, then who does get the credit? Because it’s not the person leasing the car! That’s exactly why leases are eligible for the rebate and why the income of the person leasing the car isn’t a factor.

I think ceramic coatings actually tend to get water spots more easily. Or maybe that’s the graphene variant. But ceramic coatings to not prevent waterspots, so you must have a wash that actually uses DI water and doesn’t “recycle” it. Consider yourself lucky.

probably did it for to reduce the drag coefficient and increase the range, but they know people buy these because they want a big roomy SUV and would be put off by the low rear roof.

Looks like if you take away that side facade it’s just a really big hatchback!

Used EV prices seem to be a wild ride these days. When you think about it logically, they should take less of a hit than ICEs because they don’t suffer the same mechanical degradation. Also, despite what people think, the battery capacity loss isn’t really bad at all for a very long time. I think when people realize

Never underestimate how low car salespeople will go to suck money from the wallets of buyers. They have no bottom.

The only concern with buying a n EV now is the charge port. In the future there may finally be a standard that all charge stations jump on and your car may not be able to play even with an adapter. Other than that there is no reason to think EVs won’t have resale value at least on par with ICEs.
