Well I know you can’t have them on manual cars, and I always assumed most cars in Germany are manual. 

I can’t say for all, but of the two types I’ve owned, both came with a safety feature that would turn the car oof after 15 minutes if you didn’t get into the car. 

Yep! I have Dronmobile and it’s great. I don’t like the monthly fee, but I have to park in a garage across the street from my office that even the “3 miles away” remotes can’t make work.

Like any tool, it’s all in how you use it. Use it responsibly, and it’s beneficial. 

There’s a difference between remote starting and letting it run for a couple of minutes and letting it run for many more minutes, especially in winter when you may have to sit inside your car and let it run long enough to defrost before you can safely drive.

They love the former and will just lie to themselves about the latter.
