Pretty sure Fugu is only in Japan. Meanwhile, the FDA operates out of the USA. The stuff you’re smoking is obviously very effective. Also, if you’re that concerned about legality, move out here to California without worry of hiding. =D

I would imagine that eating Fugu developed over a period of time when people needed to eat whatever they could catch. It survived to this day probably because there are enough specialists on hand who know how to properly prepare and provide it.
During the heatwave in California this year, a buddy introduced me to naengmyun— it easily became one of my favorite dishes and we had it another six to eight times before things cooled off. It can be intimidating (especially when some places serve it with a chunk of ice to help cool it down), but it’s really, really…
In the extreme cases of female assault, I can see where you’re coming from. However, in the example listed in the article, of a preteen boy being punished in return for grabbing ass, I find this method to be absolutely barbaric. The boy needs to be educated, not abused.
I apologize. I misinterpreted your original comment as having to do with punishment for deeds done; not as an act of self defense. For the latter, by all means, go for the balls.
I apologize for responding so late. I only saw this article today, and thought it was a recent thing.
While I understand the feelings of assault (I was assaulted by my male English teacher in High School, as well as a male boss at a job when I was fresh out of college), I honestly don’t believe that this idea of…
Also note that you may have misread my original comment; I’m not saying that the pain of getting hit in the balls is worse than the pain a woman experiences when she’s assaulted— I am saying that the pain of a ball hit is worse than getting hit in any other part of a man’s body. It’s a tired trope in any piece of…
Please note that I am NOT defending this class of men or their actions. What I *am* saying is that you cannot justify using a groin punch as the means of punishment. If they should be punished, take away the means by which they felt they had the authority to do what they did (i.e. their jobs) and remove them from…
How so? Lack of empathy, as I see it, is the worst thing afflicting humans at this point in time. Having a lack of empathy for one gender does not give one an excuse to throw it out for the other. Trivializing pain is the worst way to throw it out for another human being.
Out of curiosity, how do you imagine the pain being for a male getting hit in the balls?
Don’t get me wrong; I’m not defending the actions of the slime balls who violate the bodies of women. However, I wince when women equate the pain of a groin punch with, say, a punch anywhere else to the body. It’s not the same. It…
There’s also the issue of the workforce utilizing the same skill set. In Silicon Valley you see a lot of professionals working at one company, then moving to another company across the way using their same skill sets (when fired/downsized/quit/etc). If they were strung out across different states you would see mass…
Food I’m most looking forward to: Turkey rice porridge. After the turkey is finished roasting, we will debone it and use the carcass to make a flavorful broth (Usually onions, carrots, celery and ginger are added). After a few hours, we strain, then add rice and boil it until it becomes a thick porridge (or as we…
The sequel is true to the original. What most people forget is that Blade Runner is a Film Noir genre detective story first, and an action film second. Same with 2049. It’s like going in to see a Michael Bay Transformer movie and thinking that it’s going to be a Romance— of course you’re going to be disappointed! Go…
...And then there are people who wonder why Architects are even necessary...
Also, this is why Building Codes exist, not to mention health codes.
There will no doubt be detractors, but I humbly submit this piece to top the list:
Similar experience with someone I met on Starcraft 2. Turns out he was completely into the Gamergate conspiracy. I tried to look past it for the person he was, but at some point I just couldn’t anymore. Bits of his beliefs crept into everyday conversation, and I realized I just wasn’t as tolerant as I thought I was.
Did you not notice the other Chinese players who were pissed off at the cheater? Did you not notice that the people agreeing with the one who slapped the cheater were all also Chinese? Jebus, dude— Way to scapegoat an entire ethnicity.
Absolutely amazing work! I like how he drew in his own vanishing points in order to work in the two point perspective. It’s something I’ve seen in tutorials but never seen done in a practical sense. Fantastic job!
Personally, I -love- durian. Finding out more about it is rather interesting, especially with this scientific study. Thanks for the article!
Shoot, I’m 45 and still make laser and explosion sounds. ...In addition to the sounds of magnetic phase cannons in the 10 gigawatt range. You’re in good company. XD
