I read through all the comments before commenting. You have my sympathies. =P

That is absolutely amazing! Thanks for that link!

I belated but very well deserved Happy Mother’s Day to you. I can tell that your children have a very monumental role model to look up to! You are fantastic.

I agree. I’m a fan of the original movie, but this cut was excellent! It breathed a completely different alternative life to the film and added an edginess I can appreciate. I especially liked how the music during the Klingon scene added a totally different “feel” for those old enemies. This was absolutely brilliant.

Are there any groups working with 3D modeling programs + the hololens? It’s *always* been my dream to create 3D models using this kind of interface. It would be even better if they had a working add on that could simply be turned on like in Blender. I would pick up a $3000 dev kit in a heartbeat if it could mean I

Internal monologue: “Please don’t be Asian. Please don’t be Asian. Please don’t be Asian...”

“Oh thank god!”

<-- is Asian and hates the stereotypes.

As far as I know, Oriental is still fine for things. The thing about it is the term carries the ideas of “exoticism”, “far away” and/or “mysterious”. For an object like a rug, I think it’s an acceptable term. In the EU, I think Oriental is still an acceptable term, though not having personal experience of being an

Coming from a D&D background, I have to remind myself that “Oriental Adventures” used to be a thing that I was totally excited over. I try not to get too worked up over people using the term, but when people get defensive about it and say that they are using the correct term (over “Asian”) I get a little miffed. When

Except when we have to deal with the folks who refer to all of us as “Orientals”.

War Thor? Is that anything at all like the War Doctor? Does this mean we’ll see a Doctor Thor? (Hey, a hearken back to the roots where we had a Dr. Blake being replaced by Thor might be in the works!)

(Kidding, mostly)

My guess would be anyone who didn’t have the half hour’s worth of time to go about putting it back on, and they really needed to go. XD

Yep. But without reading the headline and only viewing the image, that’s the first thought that popped into my head.

My first thought: Why do they have an image of Darth Vader wthout any pants on...?

Reminds me of my days as a professional model maker (the models you make out of museum board, plastic and wood) when we experienced tight deadlines-- all the caffeine in the world can keep you up “working,” but if your hands are shaking so much that you can’t effectively and cleanly put together a 1/8" scale model,

In my opinion, it’s likely gear. With a game like World of Warcraft, the *only* way to improve your attributes is by picking up increasingly harder to find loot that modify your stats and spell like abilities. For RPGer’s who strive to want to improve their character, that bottleneck is maddening, especially if the

Holy crap, Yes! ...I mean, no I haven’t seen it yet. Yes, I’m definitely going to check this out. Thanks for the heads up!

I guess the documentaries I’ve been watching were really more “made for TV” then. I stand corrected. I’ll check out the book. Thanks for the recommendation!

This story had me laughing out loud. Thank you for the share!

Boo! Ok. I stand corrected. The anxiety of travel gets to all of us, but in your case it seems daunting! If it helps, I’d like to think of you as a hero for braving it as well as you do (Because heroes can weather so much more than anyone else!). Hopefully that helps ease your mind a bit in the future. Safe travels!
