Sorry, but for $8k, I’d want the best of the best. A 1985 model, the only year with a solid front axle, and a 5 speed. Honestly the turbo 22R never seemed like it was worth the tranny sacrifice over the regular NA motor. I’ve never driven a 1st gen 4Runner or 22R-E, but I drove a 22R ‘84 4X4 and with the manual it was

The whole pavement/sky/tilt trend that was popular in the early 2000’s was pretty bland. Porsche seemed to be a big fan of this lazy style with a lot of their press releases but fortunately they put in more effort for their ads/posters.

Wait, why bring racing into this? What a person can do with a race car and what a person can do with a street car are two completely different things. Race cars are driven on private property and street cars are driven on public property, where laws like this are in effect. For an example, I can drive an imported,

Why no CLS pic? Wasn’t it Mercedes that really kick started the whole trend though with the CLS back in ‘04? Personally I’m fine with the sedan/coupes, most of them look pretty good to my eye and the only really bad thing about them is the naming itself. In BMW’s case, the “coupe” part is the least of their naming

Genesis Coupes. Perhaps “garbage car” is a bit too harsh against it since it wasn’t a BAD car, but it was far from being a major success like the FRS/BRZ twins. And that’s a shame really, because it’s one of few moments when an automaker truly followed through to what people said they wanted. You say you want a turbo

Wait, if #3 isn’t a Lancia, what is it?

Seeing a lot of domestic airports for a request for the “worst airports in the world”. Are they really that bad though? Personally, though I’ve been to LAX, LHR, and CDG, there’s only one airport I cannot get over for really truly being that bad. That’d be MNL, or Ninoy Aquino International Airport (aka Manila

Nevermind the power wars, I miss the variety.

I'm pretty excited to see a Passat sliding around in Formula D. The US Formula D (pro level) is almost a coupe-exclusive affair and it'll be nice to see more larger sedans sliding around like the other drifting series. Off the top of my head, there's only a couple of sedans that has ever really competed in FD.

Certain areas can leave you crawling for hours and we have zero patience for slow, timid, confused drivers, but overall Cali traffic is pretty exaggerated. If you want to see TRUELY bad traffic, go to somewhere beyond 1st world western civilizations, like the Philippines. Spend some time driving there and you'll have

A teal Eagle based off of a Mitsubishi Eclipse.

A E39 540i 6spd would have been my first answer, but since that's been covered already, how about a Foxbody 5.0? Preferably notch-back (which I'm only finding just above 8k) but for cheap reliable power on a platform with some potential, a clean one is pretty hard to ignore. Plus the aftermarket support is immense and

"There is no volume manufacturer that does well in the US and Europe."

Jeep Grand Cherokee has the same thing going on as well. It may have something to do with part-sharing among other models or setting the car up to make future face-lifts easier, but IMO it just looks like they got lazy.

And Subaru

A friend of mine had a 2nd gen 4Runner which have the rear window AND tailgate combination which is still to this day my favorite rear configuration for any hatch/wagon/SUV. I think these 4Runners were the only vehicles this side of the 80's I've seen with such features.

Boy that color scheme looks familiar...

Most of my favorite cars that can wear red (a color that I usually dislike) are Japanese.
