You can call it picking apart every word to prove you wrong. I'll just call it reading and interpreting your comments and calling you out on your mistakes.

Okay. Well, here's the thing: I did read it all. Now, did you read my posts? Because if you did, you'd realize that I'm not attacking your negative opinion about Hideo Kojima. I don't care about whether or not you have shit to give him. My beef with you is strictly relating to the manner in which you have conducted

Most of the shit people pirate can't be bought on a $10 CD. :/

I have a sneaking suspicion he was being sarcastic...

Dude, how can you not see how Chriss_m26's post is a direct response to what you said? You stated that a possible basis for Hideo Kojima's possible misogyny was the fact that all his female characters are very similar to Quiet. Chriss_m26's post was refuting that claim by listing all of Kojima's characters that are

"I guess if you do something really weird and people are already madly in love with you for making a good game, they'll make all kinds of excuses for you."

Do you know what a prejudice is? It's the act of holding an unfounded opinion about a person based on some superficial characteristic. Could you explain to me how Hideo Kojima's preference to include a certain type of woman in his stories reveals _anything_ about his beliefs regarding women in general? Because I see

Pretty much every single Metal Gear Solid game features a strong female character. Is that why you think he's a misogynist?

Michael Stevens is the man.

Clearly you never played on rooftops when you were a kid. Those things are deceivingly slippery...

Because it was a cool effect?

He slid from a roof onto a stairwell. Exactly which laws of physics does that violate in your mind?

Yes.

I think it's pretty cool. Sounds like something straight out of science fiction.

I'm not sure how you've gotten from "this person hasn't made a video game starring a female protagonist" to "this person doesn't believe in female protagonists." Just because a person doesn't portray every single possible variation of the human race in equal proportion in their art doesn't make them racist or sexist.

"People" is a pretty broad group you are referring. "People" do many things. A single person has their own skills, aptitudes, and preferences, regardless of what "people" are doing. Miyamoto is an "individual", not a "people". See the difference?

He probably meant Thailand.

Yeah, that makes sense. You just have to let go of any preconceptions you had about how the universe actually functions...

Well, just image being in a room. And in that room, there is a window, which looks into a studio. Now imagine that there is a musician sitting in that studio, and imagine yourself watching that musician.

Yeah, tons of people have done really impressive things in their early years. But there's also plenty of people who didn't do anything impressive until they were much older. This post on quora was pretty inspiring: http://www.quora.com/Personal-Goals…
