Does it really though? Isn’t it also possible that most games just aren’t bad enough to deserve less than whatever the common range is? Or perhaps those games just aren’t reviewed? Because there clearly are games that get scores poorer than 50, it’s just not common. But they do exist, so obviously those numbers still

Not in those exact words, but you were alluding to it when you said “that is where it all falls apart.”

100% means best movie/game someone’s ever experienced. 0% means worst. Any value in between means something between best and worst. Sure, it’s a rough scale, but it’s still a scale the provides more information “Yes” or “No”. 100% would be a “Yes”. So would an “80%”. But if you just use the word “Yes” you can’t

That’s not true at all. If someone rated a game 83/100, I would absolutely understand what they meant, and it makes perfect sense. Sure, maybe a 10-point system would be better, but still. 83/100 might seem abritrary to you, but consider if you heard someone say they rated a game 100/100. That obviously means it was

So you’re saying there’s no value to averaged review scores? I disagree. The same attitude we use regarding a single person’s review score is just as applicable to aggregated review scores. We just have to be clear with our selves regarding what the aggregated review score actually means, just as we do with a single

How is a Yes/No system any better than a number? A numerical rating system just gives more information to the reader. Both systems are equally subjective, so that’s not really a factor.

And what’s the deal with cancer?!

Don’t people just upload their own music though?

First of all, I really don’t see the issue of driving a jeap in a NASCAR track. But I don’t really get NASCAR anyway.

Because everything is cooler in VR. Seriously, don’t knock it till you’ve tried it. It’s much more immersive.

Every time some new piece of cool technology comes out, half of the comments are people just bitching about random shit. Why are people so anti-progress?

That cat is way cuter than it has any right to be.

They aren’t forcing the people who already downloaded the mods to pay for them. That would be “Indian giving” (which by the way is an extremley offensive phrase, so you probably shouldn’t use it)

wtf? People shouldn’t be creating content for money?

Wait... so how does that make Steam a joke?

I don't know if anyone actually ever said that, but if they did, they most likely said it in the past when that was actually true.

Wow, really subtle use of sarcasm there. Super impressed with your expertise in sarcasm. Really, top notch.

When I was in Japan, I defintely noticed that the average fingernail length in men was quite a bit longer than what is usual in the States. Definitely seems to be a thing there.

I imagine that this was designed primarily for parts of the world where bottled water isn't very easily accessible.

Gif animated? What's that supposed to mean?
