I recently sold my FiST and went with a 2010 E90 328i. Stick, rwd, four door, has the mid year refresh. Yeah it’s slower than a 335 or M3, but just as quick as the FiST. The N52 NA straight six doesn’t have nearly as many issues as the higher strung BMWs and still has the hydraulic steering. Interior is a much nicer

Star specs?

Spy pics show manual transmission available in the BMW. Rumors say none in the Toyota. (Not sure if already posted. Comments kinja’d)

Fair assessment. Price is steep.

I don’t think this thing is concerned with aero, so exposed rivets are cheaper and easier to manufacture than countersunk. Would make replacing panels easy too. It seems like the company flowchart was “Can it be simpler? If yes, make simpler. If no, done.”

Or Focus ZX3 for the same reasons. I want to buy another for rallycross.

Those words sound like CHEMICALS! NOOOO!!!!!! Chemicals are BAD! You can keep your dihydrogen monoxide!

This. Even if the Focus was only $50 more, why would I spend $50 for something I don’t need. I think more people would benefit from learning this lesson. If Wendys has 2 for $2 burgers or 1 for $1.50, and you only need one, save $.50 and just get one.

Good camera placement with the headlights passing over. Also clever to have the place dimly lit with headlights on. Well executed stunt. Entertaining. Still don’t want to buy one.

At least you got Keystone right

How?

I’d like to see a chart showing the rise of crossovers compared to the fall of infrastructure.

Agreed. My takeaway was that he liked a 40 aspect ratio tire. For my vehicle, that would be a 17" wheel, not 18".

I agree with your analogy, but disagree with your conclusion.

Sucks it only has 2 seats in the back. Guess that extra red seatbelt would’ve broke the bank.

That sucks man. Sold for 13k and now its worth half a million. You must be kicking yourself..

Floor it. Even the crappiest car can be fun when you beat on it... Alternatively, find the few features you do like and use the crap out of them. For me, the 2004 sonata was my first car with an actual handbrake instead of a floor parking brake. So I did handbrake turns in the rain/snow/dirt all the time. (But

Mag-block N52 has some interesting engineering and is often overlooked.

Does Jerry not do DNA testing also?
