E90 and E82 owner here. Both N52. Knowledge gained on one car almost always applies to a future project on the other. Definitely a bonus!

Is this steer-by-wire? A lot of early talk on e-GMP was that they stretched wheelbase so far by utilizing SBW, but photos certainly seem to show a standard EPAS steering box (I’m no expert though). Very interested to get to the bottom of it!

This car also has “virtually no grille”, it’s just painted and styled to look like it does.

Camaro tried this styling and it was so ugly they changed it after 1 year. Why did Audi think this was a good idea?

I don’t know why everyone thinks this is impossible. Lowish mileage E90 328i will do this easy. Just have a indy BMW shop change the oil to avoid dealer prices. Depreciation is already at the bottom and the N52 is trouble-free (I have 2). Definitely luxury compared to Fit or Miata.

Porsche Taycan Wagon

Oh yeah, absolutely. I don’t think there will be anything “quick” about it. I do think there’s a future point where EVs will outsell non-EVs and eventually EVs will outnumber non-EVs, but that’s way out there and assumes we’ll continue to improve battery storage. With current tech, I wouldn’t be surprised to see 20%

I’m not going to get into the live coverage discussion (as I think you guys addressed a lot of the challenges there), but any plans to give us a follow-up article similar to the one you linked from Stef? I love hearing about some of the “B-side” stories with great photos of interior/underhood/suspension. Makes me

I mean that’s fair, but I would still expect the median price to be lower than the average price. But you’re probably right, it’s probably not much more than $1k difference, if that.

Why do the wheel arches have corners? I thought that was a GM thing.

I know our Niro has the electric motor pancaked between the motor and transmission, but it’s cool to see it so well-integrated in the ZF, and also cool to see in a longitudinal application. This Jeep is like a progression of automotive technology all in one vehicle!

Agree! Somebody’s new Bugatti really throws off the average more than somebody’s new Mirage. Median price is much more relevant.

I tried to find the survey referenced, but couldn’t find it on the Autotrader UK site. The only thing I found was in March 2019 75% of “car buyers” were considering an EV. The quoted line in this article says “consumers” were surveyed in January with 16% “planning to buy” and in August down to 4% “considering”. I

I think you’re missing the fact that risk is made up of both likelihood AND consequence (see: risk matrix). You may be right that the likelihood is the same, but if the consequence is more severe, then the risk is higher. Some people stress over riskier undertakings. It seems Andrew is just taking actions to mitigate

Gotcha, I misread. I thought you were pro-long bed, anti-short bed. Just anti-4ft bed.

Refrigerator, deep freezer, water heater, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, trash cans full of yard waste, fallen tree limbs after a storm, mulch, gravel, landscaping rock... typical middle America, middle class, suburban family shit. Also might want to tow a boat/camper and fit the kids in the backseat for a

I’d be curious how GM handles these guys. Fired, slap on the wrist, demotion, promotion??

Focus ST.

Bears are insubaru.

Does that recall have anything to do with the kid that got trapped, called 911 a couple times, and died? I thought that had to do with the rear bench, but Honda could be playing extra safe after that incident.
