Is the gas tank filler on the left or the right?

Rocks get in from the inside, not around the outside. There’s probably some gaps around the diffuser that allow the tires to kick up rocks into the back of the fascia and between the exhaust and non-attached fake tips.

I’m surprised the manual gets better fuel economy.

A lowered CR-V with different wheels would actually be a decent looking wagon at a decent price. Much better looking than the Civic hatch. It would still be a manual swap and pulled ABS fuse away from fun.
