I just saw Ragnarok for the second time, and it might be my stealth favorite Marvel movie, too. It’s not just that it’s honestly funny; the comedy actually makes the serious bits work better. The playful fucking around makes it the first movie where Loki feels like Thor’s brother and not just this guy that hates him

Dead Man because Johnny Depp being called a stupid white man throughout an entire movie just puts a smile to my face.

The best part of this fuckin’ all-timer episode was Al at the drive-thru.

I keep reading about the forty plus minutes runtime for this episode...

You sir, doth protest too much.

That’s funny. I haven’t been following the reviews for awhile specifically because of that. I foolishly thought I was alone in disagreeing with Perkins almost every time. It’s gotten to a point where if I notice Perkins gave a show a higher grade, I inevitably disliked the show. But I agreed with his grade and decided

I personally didn’t care for the bulk of this episode. Although that had nothing to do with Boseman, who I liked.

I’d love to know what a bad 1.5 hours of sketch comedy looks like to you, because this was almost entirely unwatchable. Other than Brock Turner hosting with musical guest Ted Nugent what would it take for you to just honestly admit that an episode of SNL is crap?

This was the worst-written show of the season and you should feel bad for giving it a B

come on. You knew this site wouldn’t give THIS episode a C-.

I turned this on about halfway through, forgetting it was airing and started at the firemen sketch.

Suffice to say, I didn’t bother watching the rest of the show. That was an awful sketch in every way imaginable.

This episode was an utter mess of half-baked ideas. The only exception being Black Jeopardy. Everything else was a waste of Boseman and this cast.

I came into this fully expecting at most a C-, and now I’m just baffled. Sketches seemed to be batting a .333 at max (dear god, why r. Kelly of all people; also, two casual “gypsy” drops in one episode? thought we were collectively over that one), with maybe 2 highs (black jeopardy was, as always, perfection, as was

I quit commenting here because being a liberal who doesn’t just agree with everything Sam Bee and Jon Oliver tell me, it’s hard to make a comment without someone going after you all strident and self righteous.

I’ve been lured out of my self imposed comment section sabbatical.

I’m confused about an aspect of how shows are reviewed on this site, and this show in general, as I expected a certain type of review, and got exactly what I expected.

Yes, hate and disdain for everyone who voted for Trump is clearly the solution to our country’s many problems.

You simply live in the real world. I’m a liberal, but these self-styled ‘progressives’ who are claiming to ‘boycott’ the show, not wanting to have anything to do every ‘Trump-voting racist-bigot’ Neanderthal, sound like Nazis. That’s part of the problem and they don’t even realize it because they’re living in a

I couldn’t disagree more with Roseanne’s politics, and I think the same thing about Trump that I did 20 years ago: he represents the worst of America...but it’s sad that I have to lead my post with my beliefs to not be immediately dismissed before I make my point, which is this.

And it’s further proof that you don’t need 100 seasons to deliver a compelling series.
