It’s ultimately all going to come down to writing. This whole time I’ve been wondering if Square just have shit writers or if it’s it’s literally impossible to write a story from a Japanese perspective about a Western inspired fantasy that can appeal to Western audiences.

Holy shit, Japan, what are you doing? I want to hate this but can’t.

“For the glory of Stan!”

This is just hurting game consumers. Gamers in general are becoming a very despicable demographic in the eyes of of big corporations, who let’s face it, don’t understand video games in the first place. Companies like Nintendo and Sony only depend on customers for may 30-35% of their profit, the rest comes from

So is all the negativity still stemming from everybody being mad that theirs cars and technology in the FF XV? Cause I feel like the fact that it’s not a generic sword+airship+medieval shit game makes RPG players froth at the mouth

I’d like to point out that this really didn’t begin to happen until after he married a supermodel

Okay, this may be the nerdiest (an adjective I don’t often use) thing I’ve seen on kotaku: a VIRTUAL tabletop game. This surpasses Heartstone in nerd factor.

Admittedly I revel in stuff like this, because in the end it ensures nobody’s going to look good. man, there’s something really...unfortunate looking about that thing. It remind me of some sort of robot from Fallout, meaning it’s ass ugly. Sometimes I wonder if engineers hate things that are aesthetically pleasing, they must hate industrial designers.

we’re not doubting that your country isn’t a complete death trap, but its fun to imagine. I think David Thorne gave us the best mental image

So basically, the customer is always right and I’m sure that makes you feel super superior to creators. That’s the same argument fans made who lost their shit when the developers of Skullgirls decided to censor/tone down the nudity or cut out certain movesets that revealed a little too much vag- fans got all ‘muh

Okay again, literally who asked for this?

Okay, cool so there’s nothing wrong with doing this but like, for the same amount of effort dad could’ve retooled it and made a new game with a gender-neutral protagonist...There’s this increased expectation on the consumer side to make games/books/movies/ immediately relatable to everyone, and that’s not the job of

I want the Shou Tucker booties that I can put on my dog or my toddler.

America bricks..Seriously? And of course they are the shittiest looking ones.

we should do what popular reblogging sites would do and flame all of his affiliated media, fans and family and then demand any of his music not be sold/played anywhere. Ever.

literally this entire thread:

this is what happens when a fine artist/rapper makes a video game?
