…and doesn't think rape necessarily destroys lives!
Which doesn't come close to Elba's, tbf.
Oh I pretty much agree, the only reason I chipped in in the first place was to counter the writer's bullshit implication that there wasn't an intentional Trump link here.
Endorse it or not, the Bank of America in their statement regarding withdrawing support said it was "intended to provoke and offend"…I think that's a fair assessment. When right wing commentators lose advertisers or jobs I frequently hear it is the free market at work and not a free speech issue. Seems this should…
They all got some kind of attention. The only difference I would grant for this is that Trump is media gold in either direction so his name is bound to bump things up a notch.
And you know about them because they got negative attention too. As well as positive no doubt. Where does the surreal part come in?
I have no idea what your point has to do with mine.
I mean…whatever your opinion of Trump, the argument this play isn't trying to reference him is outright dishonest.
If the story as told is true, that's an awful thing. Sadly the media has shot itself in the foot by making so many spurious accusations against Trump and his family that nothing can simply be taken as true from them. Also, I wasn't scolding people for making fun of a guy's looks, I was pointing out the hypocrisy at…
The one who isn't making unwarranted personal attacks against other users is the "troll". Sounds about right for this site.
I made no comment or defence of that story or anyone involved. Simply picked up on the typical hypocrisy of the AV Club.
I'm sure you're salivating at the prospect of retaliation but I would never target your family. I truly hope your life gets better.
I'm 6'2 and a proud husband and father. Does being so frequently wrong bother you at all?
I am very average and have never feared being less or dreamt of being more. We just share different values it seems.
Well there's a concession of being unable to formulate an intelligent argument if ever I heard one.
I'm not on any right wing forums and the idea of screenshotting this never occurred to me. Is that how you tend to think?
So other factors determine whether it is acceptable to make fun of someone's appearance. Got it. Tricky keeping up with social conventions and moral standards these days!
Oh it's ok again to make fun of the way people look? Cool.
Jesse is an outright douche but he is not the type to say what Chris Kyle claimed he said. That man was directly profiting from a disgusting lie and it was entirely justified and understandable that he be sued over it. The fact that he subsequently died was no reason to let the lie stand.
I feel like the basic concept for both is noble enough; exploring the flaws in the justice system that could conceivably lead to innocent people being convicted of crimes they did not commit. The problem is in both cases those convicted actually are very, very guilty and completely deserve to be where they are.
