@JRD_2: Very true. I'm all about the sneak modifier. What I usually do is find somebody asleep, crouch, and rubberband the controller for a while. 100 sneak in no time on level 1—makes stealing and killing a LOT easier. :)

For everyone who is inspired to go back to Oblivion but is annoyed by how enemies level with you, I highly recommend this discussion on the Elder Scrolls Pages on "under-leveling":

@JRD_2: Yeah, the leveling of enemies is really tough—especially early on in the game, they can outpace you quickly. My first few characters were high on marksman but low on strength and I got worked until I dug up some decent armor and arrows.
