kinda like blowing an engine. boss got a bill for 14k for a used bmw 535 engine. 17k for a new one.
If the methodology was flawed, you’d think other chains’ chicken would come back as lower % chicken too. The fact Subway was an anomaly twice makes it seem pretty likely that the testing was legit
That would matter if they only tested Subway, but given that all their competition tested out OK it doesn’t seem like the University is the issue here.
The Stars Hollow restaurant that always fascinated me was Al’s Pancake World, because it was actually Chinese food.
Hmm, no posts on deadspin since this one, I wonder if they’re shutting down Deadspin as well... Would be par for the course for the shitty hedge fund running GMG. At a certain point this started to look at awful lot like a catch and kill... A corporate takeover of a liberal network of sites to eliminate dissent.
Could you use loin instead of tenderloin? Like a large boneless pork chip or small loin roast? They are already equal thickness throughout, would give you greater choice in size, and cost less than tenderloin.
Curing salt impacts the taste as much as it preserves. Using just regular salt and you’ll have a sous-vide pork tenderloin that tastes like pork tenderloin and has that whitish color. Use curing salt and you get that hammy flavor and the pink color.
Heres a only slightly less creepy story from my high school:
I know they haven’t played anyone good except the Bills, but it’s still worth noting the Pats are on pace to absolutely shatter their own NFL record for point differential in a season (+315 in 2007, currently at +175 and on pace for +400).
Why do you think this is an individual worker issue rather than a league-wide one?
We don’t really know if the NFL and NBA would find better players if they had minor league teams. Maybe there are guys who could be contributors in their mid 20's if they had more time and better development programs, but those guys don’t exist because those systems don’t exist.
I’m a Raiders fan.
I enjoy the Patriots too because I respect top talent.
You can say that about every single team that’s been consistently good in the last two decades. Turns out there are just a lot of shitty, hapless football teams out there.
It would never work. You can't account for free agency signings, injuries, coaching changes, mono and suspensions. SOS isn't a good indication of how a team should perform.
The entire schedule, except for 2 games, is already determined for YEARS in advance.
You do know how the schedule is created, right? Its not random, and its not ‘picked’ by anyone. Its:
6 games vs your division

The AFC East isn’t a barn burner division by any means, but they’re not exactly pathetic. The AFC East as a whole is .525 against the rest of the league since 2000. Take the Pats out and they’re .453, but if you take out each divisions…
The AFC East, barring this year, is usually fairly competitive vs other divisions. They’re over .500 since BB/Brady came to NE. And I said something above, but I’m going to elaborate more here, more narrowly focused on your comment about weak schedule. The Pats MAKE their schedule look weak. They didn’t get a weak…
No. McDonald’s does not have a Quarter Pounder and a Quarter Pounder with Cheese on the menu. They only have a Quarter Pounder with Cheese. You don’t get a discount for leaving off the cheese, the pickles, the bread, or anything else. That some particular stores may give a discount does not mean that McDonald’s as a…
The orderer ordered a cheeseburger; it says so right there at the top: “1 x cheeseburger”. He/she just deleted options from it. That he/she ended up paying a dollar for a piece of cheese is a self-own, but I guess it was ‘worth it for the ‘gram’ or something like that.
