I hear ya. I had the same hobby. My parents went bananas over the things I'd bring back from road trips to Yellowstone.

My first thought was, "Oh good lord... the render times."

Yeah, okay, Chris Nolan. Because I totally needed another trailer to make me want to see this movie.

Encounters in douchebaggery:

You know, all I could think of as I watched this was that every time we think we've pinned down some incontestable law of physics we end up finding out that there's a whole lot more going on behind it than we'd ever initially imagined.

That was good. I also enjoyed M83's "Run Into Flowers" as an alternative soundtrack.

Not really the point though, right? The point is that I don't want my transportation provider to be justified in lying to me about something pretty non-debatable. Otherwise it becomes okay for everyone to lie about things to justify whatever motive they might have.

Actually I could afford it at the time. Since the repair was going to take two weeks I just bought another MBP with the money. Now I have two and they're both always working. One renders, one builds. Nice little system.

Nah, not crazy, though your way of describing it is closer to what I meant to articulate.

This is especially true when your cables are fiber optic and a hundred feet long. When you're looking at $3,000 for a cable wrapping it correctly is of the utmost importance.

I didn't really get tripped out until I saw the air to air fuel refill. THAT takes precision. Holy crapoli.
