What would I have changed?

Not to criticize an overall excellent review, but I think you answered your own question and, thus, should no longer continue to dwell on it:

Very interesting interpretation, but I disagree: perhaps you'd be right, if not for the use of the memory-erasing device.

For the record, I love Peter Capaldi, and I've greatly enjoyed him as the Doctor, but I am tempted to say at this point that maybe he's gotten a little too…cute?…this season?

My thoughts on Clara's selfie with Ashildr in the background:
I believe- based on her modern dress and the "coincidence" of the immediate appearance of the photo- that she obtained the ability to time travel at some point.

Thank you! Much obliged.
Going to share with my 9 year old daughter- it will be a hell of a lot better way to spend time in the car than Hits 1 on Sirius.

Oh, I hear you- sorry, I misinterpreted that as "wow, do you have a lot to learn" which is a reaction I've gotten before.

Hey, I just wondered. I'm sorry if I'm a bit behind on "Things About Doctor Who Everyone Is Supposed To Know".

Thank you. This will be awesome stuff to listen to in the car.

Awesome! How is this accessible in the US? Podcast form? Is there an app?

Frighteningly enough, they already have a sequel in the bag, as at least one of the Tower of Terror rides has a totally different background story.

I could be wrong about this, but in all the Coen's movies and now this show, I think cops are almost universally written and accepted as inherently good.

The brief appearance of the 10th Doctor with respect to this Doctor saving Ashildir made me think of 10th Doctor's attempts to save the astronaut who was meant to have died on Mars- she quickly killed herself. There was nothing he could do to save someone who was supposed to die. Curious to see if this plays into

The joke to laugh ratio was definitely low in this episode, but there were a couple of very funny ones (Boyle's reference to 4th graders); and the dusting of discussion on serious, real issues in the world of policing was handled exceptionally well.

And then the "c'mere a minute" head nod he gave her? That was hilarious.

THanks.

How about Walter? We saw Tex Richman's lackey, so that movie does apparently exist on this show.

"Yes…we are BROthers".

Up until last night I was on board with the general assesment of the show that it was falling mostly flat.

I liked the fact that the CIA data breach was caused by two seemingly low level trouble makers who did it simply because the opportunity was there. Somehow, that's more scary than state-sponsored cyber-terrorists.
