More fun than driving a fast car slow

*Movie* camera. Personal video cameras didn’t appear until the ‘80s.

Ha! Freudian slip or autocorrect fail; you decide.

Conversely, these guys don’t plough into crows and kill people. I’d call that pretty pro.

Bear in mind there’s a difference between being driven hard and being driven fast. My 2009 Miata is never going to set any outright lap records, but it’s averaged about a track day per month since I first drove it straight from the dealership to Texas World speedway and broke it in with the paper tag flapping in the

Sucks for Will, but as a regular instructor at COTA, one of the key things I drill into every student is ALWAYS to check your mirror before turning in at T12. The car behind you may be a dozen car lengths back at the start of the braking area, but if he loses his brakes he’ll still be in your door. QED

Again you’re tarring the entire industry with the same brush. Not all supercar experiences are run by cowboys, just as not all HPDE’s are run by organizations that you or I would want to run with.

Well I and the other experienced racers/instructors I work with would beg to differ.

Take this with as many grains of salt as you wish, but I heard on the grapevine that this crash was caused by a mechanical failure. No doubt the official investigation will eventually confirm or deny that.

There’s always a lead car with a highly experienced instructor, who adjusts the pace according to his professional assessment of

Six strips? What’s the rest of the family going to eat?

This from a guy who imported his own bride.

Heated seats FTW!

Don’t you know, it’s always a f*cking Camry. And it’s been parked across two handicapped spaces in the long term lot at San Diego since she flew out last week.

So they’ve finally admitted what we Cayman owners have known all along: we drive a superior platform.

Reali? Moose bites can be pretty nasty.

23.976 *is* 23.98. Is it not, however, 23.980.

He maketh me hang on hooks in high places.

You do know that that is how Bo blazed the trail that would eventually become the H2R track, right?

All my previous cars have been right-and-down*, but my NC Miata is left-and-up. The jury is still out on which I prefer for normal driving, but for mototkhana/gymkhana, right-and-down makes rapid transitions from first to reverse and vice versa much easier because it’s one single motion.
