All those motorcycle owners must be panicking!

That luggage rack might look fine on grandpa’s TR6, but it doesn’t work on this car.

Fair enough. I would say your friend got a screaming deal at that price though if the car is in good shape.

I would say more like $18k-$19k since it has the IMS done, but yeah.

Not quite. You can get lower-milage cars with more options for that price. I think the milage and condition mean it’s at least $2,000 to much to pay for that car. Even cars from California or the Southwest are going for less than that with similar milage.

Yup. Even dealers in the Bay Area are charging less than that for similar cars.

I’ve been 911 shopping for a few months, and bought a 996. I’ve got to go CP on this one. It’s about $5k over market for a 2000 C2 with those miles. $14k-$17k is what these are going for, and that’s without the aftermarket stereo which diminishes the value. There is no mention of when that IMS was done, and it’s not a

Just a little overpriced for the mileage, especially considering the lack of factory optional equipment (better wheels, Bose, leather interior package all missing). Seems totally base. Front seats need a bit of work too.

Stevie Wonder, is that you?

Where is new castle only 2 bucks?

Seriously... they don’t have a single character line or detail in common. People are stupid.

Despite Skip Barber owning Lime Rock Park, Barber divested himself from the racing school of his name back in 1999.

Yeah, up until now, I’ve sort of just been buying junkers and setting strict deadlines to put my wrenching skills to the test. I like the challenge.

This J10 won’t have a strict deadline, nor will my budget be so constrained.

I know it’s not the David Tracy way (but you would do it given the opportunity), but I would LOVE for this to be a “Throw the budget out the window, sky’s the limit” build

Remember when beat up farm trucks were a tool, and not a fashion accessory? I remember. I remember selling trucks of similar vintage with similar “patina” for just over scrap pricing. Oh how times have changed.

Considering Republicans scored better than Democrats, and considering that more than half of the US population lives in the blue-colored states, the odds would indicate that, yes, the 36% who know where North Korea is are more likely to be found in the red regions...

“Republican men were more likely than Democratic men to correctly locate North Korea and were in favor of the diplomatic approaches offered by the researchers; women, regardless of party affiliation, were able to find the country at similar rates, the Times noted.”

Did you just gloss over the part where male Democrats were LESS likely to correctly locate North Korea than male Republicans

I think your salesman was also BSing the frequency of Land Cruiser sales. If you could assume 1 per week is the average, and this represents the average Toyota dealer in the US, multiply 52 by the number of US Toyota dealerships, 1233. You’d get 64,116 LCs sold per year in the US.

If its not going to end up looking like this, I’ll pass:
