It’s not based on rank. Local plod get the panda car, which will be something like a Vauxhall Astra diesel. Motorway police get a warmish Volvo or BMW, and firearms police and Diplomatic Protection generally have an X5 to hold all the equipment.

I would imagine steam locomotives are banned because of the emissions, especially in such a densely populated area like the South East. There are steam engines on private lines throughout the UK. I used to volunteer on one called the West Somerset Railway.

As an Eagles fan, I can assure you that after a couple of seasons with Chip Kelly in charge, you’ll be punching yourself in the face.

It seems to be happening in the UK as well

I’ve seen two comments from you in this thread. One, complaining that it’s the Americans fault the ceasefire was violated, and this one, complaining that this doesn’t belong on Jalopnik. Still, any way to stop all that evil NATO propaganda, right comrade?

To be fair, Jones seems better at catching than half the Eagles’ receiving corps.

They didn’t in the eighties because a) the managed to get Jaruzelski to stage a coup, and b) they had ten divisions of the East German Army on the border ready to invade in case the coup failed. They still stacked the border with Soviet troops regardless.

That’s not how a Cat B works. By law, the bodyshell will have to be crushed, although some components may be permitted to be sold on.

Is this car’s primary audience the US? I thought it would be more popular in Eastern Europe, where it would go against the Audi Allroad or the Volvo Cross Country ranges.

I’m sure the Chiefs would be willing to trade Sanchez if they want an alternative to Cutler.

Something similar. We already have the Q3 and Tiguan, so I imagine this will sell well in Europe for people looking for a cheaper version of that. I would seriously contemplate one considering how unpleasant some of the cheaper compact SUVs are over here (Nissan Juke, Dacia Duster, etc.)

You realise that it's possible to discipline a child without resorting to physical violence, right?

Wouldn’t this be going up against the Volvo XC ranges and the Audi Allroad more than against Subarus?

Have you seen the Kodiak? It looks like it could do well against the Kia Sportage-type market too.

I wouldn’t talk about rings when discussing the Eagles. It never ends well.

Credit to you, they played a lot better than I thought they would, especially Agholor and Ertz. Let’s hope they can keep it up against better opponents.

I can honestly say that Goodwood last year was the best car festival I’ve ever visited. Seeing people race 1930 Bugatti formula cars, GT40s, and Porsche 356 Speedsters was so brilliant, and the whole Need for Tweed atmosphere just makes it all the more fun.

I like how in Europe that soccer teams will sign young players and then loan them out for a year or two to a lower division team to get some experience. It would be nice to see that over here.

It’s the Browns, so what will happen is the QB they passed on (Wentz) will take the Eagles deep into the playoffs, whilst they go 4-12. They get the draft pick, so get to draft at 25th or so in the first. Meanwhile, Vikings do horribly, and Eagles get a top ten draft pick. This is the stuff of nightmares.

I’d be really impressed if a NASCAR driver did this.
