That engine is surprisingly large. I rode one on the track and I felt like I couldn’t even tuck my feet around it well.

Considering how close lap times are between SS and 1000cc bikes, especially at tracks like Chuckwallah and Laguna Seca, this will create a bigger gap. I think that isn’t a bad idea.

Totally get that. I’ve been building a cross country adv bike out of an old transalp with some CR250 forks, and the 400+ lb weight of it scares me after having done 20,000 miles of TAT and BDRs on my XR400.

I was amazed when I read the actual weight of this thing. It made me slightly more optimistic about its release.
