Disney needs a more coherent story telling plan

Just another example of why Disney needs a more coherent story telling plan between these movies. I know they will likely play a big part in Episode 9, but there were so many plot threads from 7 that Johnson just didn’t give a shit about.

Why was yoda interesting? Because he was a well written character. Yoda is a unnamed race that ALWAYS appears as an expert force sensitive sage. There is always a yoda creature with the jedi order, they are born of the force. But a small green Rey would have been harder to sell than a fit British Rey.

obi wan - jedi, non skywalker, related to no one
every single jedi in 3 prequels movies except one guy named skywalker - not related, not skywalkers, jedis all the same

To be fair, a big part of why people thought that Rey’s parentage was important was because TFA strongly implied that it was and that she specifically had a link to the Skywalker family. Abrams made Rey one of his mystery boxes and Johnson disposed of it. That’s for the best, but it makes the movies a bit sloppy…
