God I hope not. Art is not some linear progression forwards towards some ideal state.

It’s a valid aesthetic. It might just be a game that’s not for you if you can’t play it because of it.

Why move past anything when tons of people appreciate and want more of this?

What if you just didn’t play the games you didn’t like?

There’s basically two arguments against the new cards.

Much as I love Final Fantasy from FFI-FFX (and Fran/Balthier from XII!) I think that the heavier and heavier reliance on Nomura-san’s hit-or-miss designs is a misstep for the direction of the series.

How old is it when you get to that phase? Because I’m 40, and I still enjoy playing some video games for the difficulty. Sometimes I don’t just want to finish the game for the sake of seeing a game over screen, sometimes I actually want to play a game because I find the gameplay enthralling.

Puck monster!!! Holy shit I just realized this was one of my favorite childhood toy. I played it so much I could pass the first few levels blindfolded. It devours C batteries as if it also powered my whole house.

That reminds me of seeing an original Puck Man cabinet (though not knowing the history, thought it was a knock off machine at the time) and they were right to worry that they would be vandalized.

Talking about how her being Black is important to other Black people and her awesome gaming collection are not mutually exclusive. In this and everywhere else, I can and will continue, to do both.

It’s a Japanese word play. ‘Dig’ in Japanese itself is ‘horu’, so without being immediately familiar with the name in this game I’m guessing that it was possibly written 掘るホール, horu horu. Which weirdly enough is also a specific term for those post tools that you use to shove into the ground to pull dirt out of. I’m

I’d argue that it’s absolutely an interesting world with great lore. The problem was this game wanted to make you care about nobodies you created yourself instead of letting you play as the gatewatch against baddies like nicol bolas

You and I experienced very different games. I felt like Trials was fun and breezy and a good stylistic callback to games with simpler world construction. The script and pacing were identical to the original, so I’m not really sure how that’s could be a criticism of the remake.

I’m aware. Cross is a pretty game and alright jRPG, which is why I said its connection with CT (and as such Radical Dreamers) hampers it. Without it I believe it would’ve been a much better received game. Especially since nothing about the CT allusions is required for the story to work, such as it is.

Such disrespect towards a former gang member turned military veteran, eventually achieving the status of 5 time world champion before ascending to royalty.

“TELL ME! THEY DID NOT! JUST SAY THAT!”

What? Those games are made by Sony studios. Bethesda was a 3rd party studio making games that were multiplatform for decades. Even if Xbox owns them now they were not XBOX games and those games would have 100% hit Playstation consoles.

It is clear you do not understand the entire point of this article.

I own both consoles, so I’d hardly consider myself a fanboy, but Microsoft’s acquisition took dozens of IPs that have been on Playstation for decades and suddenly said “no more.”

It’s literally a literal man literally controlling a literal woman. She could literally die from not literally using the suit she literally knew would save her if the man didn’t “allow” her.

I feel like you’re not really encapsulating the problem people had with Adam. It was a Metroid game where you weren’t exploring and collecting powerups along the way, instead starting the game (at least narratively) as if you already had them, but you could only use them when your commanding officer allowed you to use
