I love Final Fantasy Legend, but they remade all of these on DS so why are they releasing the gameboy ones?
It’s the greatest adaptation of any non-film to a film. They took a goofy but utterly sincere cartoon about cars and made a goofy but utterly sincere movie about cars.
I’m interpreting “favorite” as “most nostalgia + replay value” and going with
SOTN
Super Metroid
Sonic 3+K
STRONG honourable mention to Hollow Knight and Shovel Knight. The above three and these two are not necessarily in a ranked order, but if i absolutely had to live with only three it would be the first three.
Also…
Fair enough.
I am fascinated by the opinion that Sonic 1 is better than Sonic 2 or Sonic 3&K or Sonic Mania, let alone one of the best three platformers of all time. I’m not looking to argue against you (I disagree, but as someone whose Top 3 movie list includes friggin Speed Racer I’m not trying to shit on things folks like) but…
If I look at your picks my list would look something like... Mirrors Edge (played the original a dozen times), Tomb Raider (the original, a now often underrated classics, especially because of the nowadays unconventional controls) and Shantae and the Pirates Curse (still the best one of that series).
This is impossible for me lol... I’ll just throw out some of my favorites.. Sonic CD, Sonic Adventure, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Mario Land 2, Mario 64, Mario Galaxy, Mario 3D World, Ristar, Nights into Dreams, Super Metroid, Super Castlevania IV, DK Country, Castlevania Bloodlines, Rondo of Blood, Mischief Makers,…
Sticking to 2D platformers only:
You can do whatever you want with your Scrabble tournaments, but “fuckstick” will always be welcome at my home games
They had to ban ‘ elbow ‘ too....’...... as they couldnt tell their arse from their elbow.
We are talking about scrabble tournaments here, they make canasta groups look like godless sodomites.
Because dyslexics deserve to see naughty words too?
At the same time they also banned “ears”.
Yes, that’s what the rules text refers to, but pairing it with the name “Cleanse” is what pushes it well over the line. Having that rules text, on a card that sounds like a euphemism for genocide, is just not worth keeping around.
Very unlikely the numbering was deliberate, Gatherer wasn’t created until 2004, literally ten years after the card was printed, and I believe the IDs are just sequential. The sets Alpha, Beta, Unlimited, Arabian Nights, Antiquities, and Revised would add up to 1398 cards, then Invoke Prejudice would have to be the…
Only one of them was, because it’s deck limitation was literally the requirement for EDH and other singleton formats.
WotC should have taken a look at their own internal testing from more than a decade ago that showed Companion was a terrible mechanic.
