This puts the driver right in the center and allows them to take two of their friends along for the ride. They did it in the sublime McLaren F1, the Matra Murena and one (just one) Ferrari, why not anything else?

Is it just me or does the Lotus seem louder too? Did they test a new exhaust like Ferrari was?

Fingerprints everywhere, and it looks super cheap.

Cheap? Check. Practical? Check. Can live in it? Check. Can fix it with a hammer? Check. Will last another half a million miles? Hopefully, at least another 100k.

fuck pants

It was on every single car at the auto show this year.

Piano-black front console box with lids

From the Doug DeMuro playbook of to hell with pants! Also me!

You just like the F-14 because of the folding wings right?

Sounds like a good plan. Too bad Jean Todt and Bernie are big pains in the ass.

But then how do they innovate unless they have the resources to try out new things? Sure $1Mil for a bolt seems outrageous, but when trying to build new parts and new designs that's what you have to sometimes spend. F1 has seemed to be always a two part show. One about the drivers, two about the cars. But the cars are

True. Maybe .2s isn't that big of a deal, especially since the cars are that equal at the moment. But cutting the cost there doesn't necessarily mean they will be allowed to spend it other places. Especially considering the FiA wants caps on the cars.

I think we need a balance of both driver and car. But reducing aero on cars that are already a handful seems counter intuitive. I love the glow of the brakes, but it just seems artificial.

I'm fine with spectacle, but we already have that. We don't need more.

Here's the thing, I'm all for cost cutting, but I'm not for cost cutting to induce spectacle. I know some of it looks awesome, but I will know it's fake and that upsets me. If the cars still had titanium skid plates, and large brakes because that's what the teams made in order to go faster, awesome. But we've moved

So if they allow bigger rims, will it mean bigger brakes? Or will the FiA ban them next and make all the teams convert to drums?

Bro, ur doin it al rong, cant u c dat deez peple r totes cereal???????????

I could definitely be wrong, I haven't read into the engines in a long while. Maybe Tyler should do a post on them. They definitely were a cool concept.

Watching the race footage, I didn't know that the N24 uses the F1 circuit too? Damn that is truly then a grueling challenge.
