This trailer and I were well-met.

Very bravely written. Anyone who has kids, or is thinking about having them, or even just has reproductive organs should read this.

Hundred percent. This is not a good movie, and it's an even worse adaptation of the game, but so much of it works. It's a really cool looking — albeit, shamelessly derivative — kind of world. I stand by this movie, as terrible as it is. If it had turned into a franchise, there woulda been some damned interesting

Most of these are just insipid. This one is so complete and just fucking excellent.

Dude, #9 really just destroys me. I didn't even become a nerd until I was well into my twenties.

Ladies and Gentlemen: It's pooping. Pooping is the least futuristic thing about life. Sex, food, breathing, almost all other major components of human life have been augmented, improved or somehow changed. Except for pooping.

Man, when isn't it time for a little Rush?

Score one for the little guy(s)!

I'll give you this: Beak is undeniably useless. And ugly, to boot. But when I was first reading New X-Men, I thought Morrison used him really effectively as a way of demonstrating that the doors to Xavier's school were open to all mutants, not just those with huge racks or bulging biceps. Also, if you roast the corn in your oven before shucking and removing the kernels, you'll end up with a slightly more flavorful stock. It's an easy step and gives you time to get all

Great little read. Describing self-preoccupied people as having egos that are "overinflated, insatiable and overly sensitive," is about the most accurate damn thing I've read in a long time. It perfectly sums up the frustration of dealing with people who fit that description — the cloying, the validating, the

Does it matter that she doesn't appear to be wearing the burka when she's not in-costume? Seems like an important distinction.

Patricia Lockwood? Is that the "Rape Joke" poem chick?

And in this whole damn list there's no love for the great Angelo Badalamenti? This pains me, man.

I can't be the only one who thinks the Eurythmics 1984 soundtrack is seriously great.

More than a little reminiscent of Kenneth Anger's amazing shorts.

"He reminds me of Jeff Nichols, who is my favorite dude." Ladies and Gentlemen, let's go get a beer with Michael Shannon.

how about it's just a cool video? And the copy says nothing about global warming/climate change? That okay with you?
