I’ve heard lots of people creating torrents for this, so it should still be pretty easy for those interested to obtain the game.

It’s one of the games I kind of wish Square Enix would remake but I know they’d just screw it up.

Nothing odd about it, the game had some great environments. It was a triumph of esthetic design in a lot of ways.

I’m hoping that one day, we will see a remake with a proper second half of the game.

And that right there is a testament to how great Xenogears is even though it wasn’t completed. God what I would give to get a proper remake of it with those portions missing and Mitsudas soundtrack. chills.

My only issue is that the game comes to a halt right after this city, because the game was hopelessly rushed and every events were told to you from Fei/Elly narrating on a chair. I hope they can make a complete version someday. Games like FF7 finally being remade gives me hope. I hope the rights holders can settle…

Xenogears did a great job of world building. It’s a shame it didn’t get to fully explore the ideas it set forth. You also didn’t mention the dope track that is the theme of that place!

Persona 4’s Inaba. Not a huge or advanced city, but it’s what I call home.

One of the best parts of that game. Xenogears is seriously one game for the ages.

So many fond memories. I would kill for a remastered Xenogears.

And be ready to beat the game and still not understand what's going on.

This game will make you realize how bad JRPG stories have become in recent years. It's by no means perfect and goes over board once in a while, but damn is it ambitious. Just be ready for some looooong dialogue scenes.

When I first played it, I missed the opening video, all I did was the wandering around town bit and got bored. A month later I was bored and gave it a shot. Booted it, when to get a sammich and came back and the anime intro was playing. Jaw dropped, didn't get up for 8 hours.

I had no interest in this game, and then I played the demo.

Having always wanted to play, but never having actually watched video of Xenogears before, holy shit I want to play this game now.

This is one of the rare times where a demo for a game actually sold me on buying it. I wasn't much into anime when I was in high school, so I'd have probably ignored this game otherwise.

Tell me about it. Why is it that you have this option if you emulate old games but not if you buy them on Sony's service directly? Shouldn't we have MORE options if we want to pay legitimately for old PS1 games rather than just downloading them?

I think I'm the only person who likes the second half of Xenogears.... It was perfect, you get to play the fun parts and they just skip over the parts that would have been mind numbing and tedious after 40 hours.
