I agree with you
I agree with you
I’ve read two versions. Narratively, it’s somehow simultaneously disjointed and overindulgent dogshit. It’s a massive, convoluted fucking lore dump that’d make Tetsuo Nomura blush.
I am an atheist and am excited to learn that, apparently, it now qualifies me as an “edgelord” as well. I also got whiplash from the way this article seemed to keep pivoting back and forth on whether the author thought it was the worst take, a legit take, a weird take, etc.
I’m sorry, but what makes his take “edgelord”? Are all atheist takes edgelord?
“Snyder’s recycled efforts were most apparent during that movie’s space-cantina recruitment scene”
Do you really think the goal of this, or nearly any, reviewer is to ensure that the thing they are criticizing sells less..?
“three or possibly six more installments”
That must be very exciting for someone.
Totally mystifying to me. She was even a great Catwoman! She is plenty cool enough for me
Even at the time I never understood what everyone hated about her. It was all nothing but juvenile meanness and never made sense. She’s never had any scandal or anything that would indicate she was a bad person; she didn’t deserve that.
The problem that any Alien (and Predator) movie has going for it is the audience knows everything about the alien and the characters don’t so there is no tension in the first 45 minutes when the characters are figuring out that facehuggers lead to eggs, eggs lead to chest explosion, which leads to alien, spit is acid…
One of the reasons the modern AV Club increasingly reads like AI is the misuse of sentence structures like this:
> The movie is called Kinds Of Kindness, and all we really know about it is....
Is Woke in the room with you right now?
“Adan Canto, the star of The Cleaning Lady and Designated Survivor, died last night. Per Deadline, the actor had appendiceal cancer, a diagnosis he kept private. He was 42.”
I know how automated and reliant on AI they’ve gotten but just copying and pasting old articles into a slideshow to allegedly grieve these…
The first season is flawless TV, and Smart is absolutely phenomenal.
This whole review, sentence fragments and all, reads like hastily scrawled first impressions.
The dream would be to have Godzilla Minus One director Takashi Yamazaki heading up the Jurassic Park reboot, but obviously they’ve already got a Koepp script they apparently don’t wanna muck with.
Did Navarro clean up Clark before making him tape the confession? Or was his lack of blood just a continuity error?
As much as the idea pisses me off, I have to say that at least they get all the commercials out of the way before the show starts, so it is not interrupted by commercials.
Is it not still strange that 5 episodes in, and with 1 left, we still essentially know nothing about what was presented as the main “mystery”??
