I just fired it up for the first time last night on PS4 and it’s a hoot. The gameplay reminds me a lot of Spider-Man actually.

That’s my plan, the previous trailer got me hooked so I’m not going to watch this or anything else that comes out before the film.
+1 for the almost-rhyme
My guesses, clockwise from left: Journey 2, Jumanji, Rampage, Jumanji 2.
I wanted to add a fifth panel with his tan shirt and jungle background in The Rundown, but he actually had hair in that one!
I like The Rock, you always know what you’re getting with him. But, similar to someone like Schwarzenegger, you see the actor instead of the character and that doesn’t work so well when he’s supposed to be playing an established character. If The Rock were cast as Superman he would still be The Rock, just in blue…
I agree, the show is in dire need of some humor. Baby Leia isn’t coming across nearly as cute as I suspect the writer’s expected and I wish they would have leaned into the humor in pairing an “old” Jedi with a little girl.
Wasn’t Dr. Sattler married to some guy in JP3? Did that not work out and now they’re trying to shoehorn in romance with Dr. Grant?
The “impenetrable fortress” doesn’t have any air defenses and also has easily breakable underwater windows. I guess no one thought to actually try to penetrate it before.
I actually thought this week’s episode was easily the best so far. We got Obi-Wan deflecting lasers, a little bit of suspense, and Rebel ships coming in and kicking butt without all the messy staging issues that have plagued the first three episodes. It felt like Star Wars for once.
Hiding Leia under the trench coat…
The problem with The Rock is that he’s always The Rock, no matter what role he’s playing.
Yes that’s certainly a plot hole. Star Wars has always played fast and loose with what kind of technology is available to the characters at any given time to suit the plot.
So many of the action scenes are missing any sense of urgency. The bad guys just walk around and the good guys often sit and chat even when danger is imminent. It’s a prequel so we know that Vader isn’t going to kill Obi Wan, but the show makes it seem like Vader knows that too and just decides not to try all that…
I’m actually a little disappointed that Hemsworth is in it. I like him, but think his strength is in action-comedy and I wouldn’t expect to see much comedy in Mad Max. He’s so boring in Men in Black/Extraction/12 Strong compared to his recent Thor outings.
I have to watch because no one other than Stede can do the voices.
Ok you’re right. I went back and watched again and Reva takes a few steps into the tunnel then stops and smirks like she figured something out. Still unclear how exactly she got to the port so quickly but that’s just nitpicking (kind of like how Vader appeared out of nowhere in front of Obi Wan.)
Sure, she could have somehow (and extremely quickly) figured out where the tunnel was headed. Or the tunnel could have had branches or whatever. But when the show doesn’t present these possibilities, I’m keen to take them at face value.
This desert planet had some foliage though!
Better than the second episode, but it’s still just so silly. The Stormtroopers are searching for a Jedi but their superiors never showed them a photo of said Jedi? How did they ever plan to find him? And Vader just lets Obi Wan get away because he somehow can’t figure out how to go around or through some flames on…
Yea he’s best used exactly how he was in Rogue One; just show up, be terrifying, and kick butt for a bit while the good guys try to escape. Making a Vader show would be like making a show about Agent Smith from the Matrix.
Obviously I’ve yet to see how Christensen is included in the Obi Wan show, but Vader is a man in a mask with James Earl Jones’ voice. Does it even matter who “plays” Vader at this point?
Other than the fact that it happened, I truly don’t remember anything about the train robbery. But I was actually thinking of the entirety of the BoBF finale and how terrible the battle and chase scenes were set up (though yeah, that scooter chase was really bad too) when I wrote my comment. I could probably include…
