My heart broke for Glenn Close.

I’m sure Mahershala Ali’s performance in Green Book was good (I had no desire to see it), but he was goddamn amazing in the True Detective finale tonight.

It was great until the end when Green Book won.

Green Book is thoroughly shocked and amused by how well you people dine at Sylvia’s in Harlem.

All these kitties, Blue Heaven especially, warmed my grinchy heart this evening. If living amongst cats instead of people were an option, I’d gladly take it.

If I should ever win the lottery, I will make sure that your shelter benefits from it. Your posts make me feel better about the world & I would adopt them all if I could.

Hey I dunno if you’ll see this, and you may be wary of potentially doxxing yourself, but can you say what part of the country these shelter kitties are in? My family will be ready for cat adoption in about a year and I’m wondering if I might be in your neck of the woods.

Grosse Pointe Blank is basically a perfect movie.

Baby Boom, Defending Your Life, Beetlejuice, Sound of Music, and a toss up between Bye Bye Birdie, Being There, and Battle of Algiers for my number five slot. Honorable mentions go to 50/50 (don’t judge, it’s a great movie) and Mamma Mia (for pure fun alone). Seconding the Grosse Point Blank comment, too.

Oatly is my new fucking jam - when I can find it. That shit hits the shelves at Target and Whole Foods and two seconds later it’s gone!

Oh me too, but most trailers make me cry, so I needed an unbiased opinion.

fuck trailer made me cry, definitely watching it

I don’t think that’s true. She raises a lot of money and awareness for LBTQI youth through her Happy Hippie foundation and has always been big on this. I think she perhaps always wanted to be “more queer” than she actually is so there is a performative nature to her queerness and now that she is married to a guy she

No, we’re Great Again™.

Actually, it’s kind of the exact opposite--this shows how very difficult it is to convincingly fake an attack, and how easily the stories of people lying about being assaulted crumble under investigation. Nobody is sincerely equating “believe victims” with “don’t investigate crimes”; that’s a straw man used by rape

This has been a textbook case for why skepticism is always healthy and how wrongheaded the “believe victims” mantra of modern progressives is. A lot of people didn’t feel his story added up and/or was way too perfect when it first came out but were afraid to express skepticism for fear of being branded racist and/or

The blaxploitation is reprehensible, but she has dated a woman (a Victoria’s Secret Model I think?) and was an advocate for LGBTQ rights back when she was a Disney teen, which wasn’t really common for their stars at the time. So I don’t think she’s making that part up at least, just expressing it in a weird way.

Um, I think it’s amazing that Miley Cyrus is able to look past Liam Hemsworth’s conventional ugliness and fall in love with his beautiful soul. On a spiritual, post-gender level.

Ugh, Linda Cardellini is 17 years younger than Viggo yet playing his wife. God forbid a woman over 50 appear on screen as a wife.

Please don’t see this movie.
