Bit confused about the picture, though, what’s the Dutch former queen Beatrix got to do with this?!

But scroll down to the responses

Currently reading John Carreyrou’s Bad Blood (having already devoured The Dropout podcast and Alex Gibney’s documentary) on Elizabeth Holmes, I’m looking forward to the podcast, book and documentary on Anna Sorokin.

That was my instant thought, too.

Nah, sorry, only if they’d been white boys would he do so.

Would I be naive to still think nothing of it and laugh it off? I could point at a number of former classmates that were coming up with that level of dark thoughts in conversation and writing, some came up with entire manuscripts of the stuff. Looking back, those writings seemed coping mechanisms. All seemed to grow

Wow. I’d never looked at it that way.

*Takes deep breath*

Thanks for posting this. Every time something blatantly racist pops up, out come the anecdotes of “well I know a black person who isn’t offended by it” as if that makes the racist sh!t less racist or not racist at all.

There’s a difference, though, between wanting your children to have everything they need or desire, and wanting your children to have what you want them to have, like a degree from USC.

If the need/desire was the children’s own, wouldn’t they have preferred receiving the $500K directly themselves over their parents

All the tabloids are pushing this rumour as putting Harry & Meghan away somewhere far away, i.e. phrased in a way that doesn’t seem to involve any choice in the matter for the couple themselves.

Do you think so? I understand that Hollywood/celebrityville may be different from the rest of us, but I couldn’t ever see me turn my back on friends/relatives/colleagues/etc over their children’s actions or failures... Or am I reading your comment wrong?

Sounds to me like you’ve already done plenty of paying forward by working in a homeless shelter.... wow, that’s not for the faint-hearted.

So glad to read you’re nearly there. Moving house is stressful but if a different home benefits your health, it’s a better home. What still amazes me how, in my worst time of crisis (nearly 8 years ago now), when I nearly ended up homeless, it was total strangers’ help that saw me through. Getting through that made me

Not sure if every therapist is like this, but for me it was a therapist returning my every “what if...” with a “well, why don’t you tell me...” and/or variations on “so what”. This therapist could have spelled it out for me “well, if you think it looks terrible, you wrap it back up and return it” but I think her whole

If you could have the new shoes well ahead of your trip to ‘break them in’, that helps; I always thought breaking in new shoes was something only needed for leather shoes but my favourite, most comfy pair of shoes (Nike Free - they weigh nothing!) wasn’t comfy (and at times even hurt) the first week or so.

Having been in a similar situation to Maya24, I totally get the trepidation, but I’m glad I did reach out when I did... It lost me a few friends, which hurt (because I wasn’t twisting anyone’s arm and had they just said “sorry, love, I can’t” it would’ve been fine but instead they just dumped/ghosted me and

Could you ask your local council for a discretionary housing benefit payment (that’s separate from regular housing benefit) - if you ask politely, they’ll probably say no, because they’re not keen, so find out their arrangements and push it, if need be with help from your local MP.

she gave birth while being in prison, the bond was only $100

Here’s the thing: The segments of their own video show you everything you need to know: here’s a bunch of white people putting on different clothing, renaming themselves non-western names, setting up shop in an exotic location where they keep themselves mostly if not entirely segregated from the indigenous
