Why are “we” supposed to hate these?
Why are “we” supposed to hate these?
I’m sorry anyone that hates on this is just a bitter hack, it might not be your thing, fine but the skill, creativity and production values are all off the charts.
Can we talk about the Pastrana bit at the end?
Compelling argument. I remember when people said the same about LED DRLs and tail lights. Hmmm.. Perhaps you’ll come around on this, too. (Not you specifically, but the general populace which is generally adverse to change.)
Cash gives you zero leverage at a BHPH lot (or any dealer really). Remember, for the most part, their core customer is someone they can hose on the loan. That is where most of their profit comes from. That’s not to say they will automatically deny you a deal. But chances are they would rather just wait until some…
Assuming most buy here/pay here lots have an element of bad to them ie: their Craigslist ad price is low but that’s the price if you finance through them. If you find a car you like at one of these lots, how much leverage do you have to say I have cash and will pay the Craigslist/internet price without them saying the…
Probably in the minority but the 280ZX is butt ugly. It suffers too much ‘80s-ness for it to ever be desirable to me. I’ll take an early 240Z all day but these...CP
I would just like to say that my editors here at Jalopnik make me look like a much better writer than I actually am, and I was incredibly proud of the original headline for this post - “You’ll LOL At The Hyundai Veloster N’s Lousy Lease Numbers”

Here’s the Toyota Supra Face before you’re supposed to see it.
Well, more power to you. If you’re cross shopping an Outback/Alltrack this is definitely a viable alternative, but don’t expect this to be an American wagon version of a luxury/sport sedan like a 330i or an Audi Allroad alternative.
The 3 pedal thing is already covered so let me have a go...
This comment section is about to explode with excuses on why "I can't justify getting one".
Now that they’re potentially pretty cheap, will they snap these up? I can hear people formulating their “Ugh, if only this were available with a 6-speed manual” excuses.
Ever worked in the industry? Honestly, it’s like the designer says “we want it this way”, the engineer says “that’s dumb and stupid and not a good engineering design”, and then management says “yeah but the designer thinks it looks better, so we’re going with that”.
I’m sure they’re very functional, but they look like ass.
Couldn’t you have mentioned to the rest of the team that the front end is FUGLY?
When did $kay get a pilot’s license?
