The Xenomorph was deliberately a ‘phallic’ design as the movie takes the concept of rape and twists it, making it’s rape victim a male which he has it’s egg implanted in him thru his mouth early on. Then it ends up being a female protagonist that ends up saving the day (or at least, surviving).
