Actually most situations the lighting is fine for me and I carry just my S6 and its good enough. Now if you are a cave explorer or bar hopper, then yeah you need a large sensor for low light.

In good lighting... my S6 takes shots that are comparable to my Sony NEX A6000 (DSLR quality mirrorless). Impressive DoF/bokeh for the sensor size as well. Now indoors or bad lighting are a different story.

This $800 HTC Vive might fail... just like the $10k sony OLED set from years ago... but you cant just write off VR as a whole... once someone nails the price/features/usability (apple, etc) then it will blow up

I have worked in media production before... many times, publicity images go through a photoshop queue and pretty much the same standard stuff gets applied to every photo.... airbrush here, lightening there, etc.... i wouldnt be surprised if its automated now with todays tech
