Nice analysis! I agree that some of those are definitely subtext in the show, subtly reinforcing their character traits in ways that do not jump out at first but will if you look deeper.

YES! Best fucking podcast i have discovered this year.  He somehow makes a one man show with no guests hilarious each week.  Perfect amount of sports talk, plenty of laughs and even his LAY-DEE Nia is a great addition to the show when she joins in.  Ohhh Jeeezus

yeah, Maron is required listening somehow.  You think it is getting old and stop for a while and then he gets Bob Zmuda or Norm MacDonald and all of a sudden I'm back.

Is it director and chase or director and cast? I enjoy the concept of commentary tracks but often its just people having a long pointless conversation about something anecdotal but not interesting; meanwhile, the really interesting thing i would like them to comment on is ignored in the background and whizzes by

no. not at all.  are there really fans who loved murder-time tony so much they incubate themselves by claiming "he didn't die when it cut to black. tony is still out there killing people. he probably killed someone today! :)"  If anything, those "dunderheads" would probably rally and cry "of course tony died! live by

i know.  I actually own all seasons up to six because i was just wrecked by the totality of the final season.  Chase really underlines the "people can change, but most choose to stay the same" theme and Tony is so monstrous he is terribly hard to root for.  The final three are just a death march, albeit imbued with

me too.  Maybe we can all come back and just keep commenting on the finale thread for future discussions.  Like how the community fans have ten jillion posts going on the last season finale.  That shit is like its own little biodome
