Jim, Jim, Jim: You are vastly overestimating the erudition of the American people and vastly underestimating the cynicism of politicians.

Speaking of gay porn in someone's iPhoto, my last visit to a genius bar was because a gay porn DVD was stuck in my laptop*. Since one really has no other choice, I was just straight up with Rusty, my Genius Bar helper that day, and said, "Look, I'm just gonna be up front, the DVD is a gay porn one. Okay?" And Rusty,…
@catpeople Thank God! I was so, so sad.
This.
@poppy "Rachel Getting Married"...that was the one where she actually did her job for once instead of being terrible like usual, and then everyone decided she might need an award for doing so, right?
@Sterling Archer Yes, all deaths should be respected, even the deaths of people with no redeeming value. Get off your high horse. How many people did YOU know that died on 9/11?
@sugarrhill Seriously. Why Gawker gotta interfere with folks' love of Scandinavian chests/folks with Scandinavian chests' love of attention from folks who love Scandinavian chests?
@sugarrhill It's one of those hardscrabble Scandinavian ones. You know, good for wrasslin' reindeer in Lapland, haulin' herring around Ostrobothnia, being beaten with birch branches in a Helsinki sauna.
@D_McCourt I think most bullying victims share this fantasy! As an adult, I've developed an acidic tongue that has always bested anyone who's tried to fuck with me, but I definitely think often of taking Krav Maga or something so that I can just LAY OUT the next person who calls me a faggot (which happens to me—a 6',…
@Sauceboy You're awesome.
Also, I'm reminded of a story my father sat us kids down and told us when one of my little brothers was caught picking on a kid at school. My father was pretty merciless to the school nerd, who my dad and his friends used to call "Numbnuts," among other things, throughout his elementary, middle and high school years.
I love this kid for doing what I never had the courage to do as a kid to the shitheads that bullied me mercilessly. Not to be melodramatic, but I'm 32 years old and STILL have days now and again where I have to shrug off the things that were said and done to me a gazillion years ago. So, it's awesome to see this kid…
I'll tell you what I I I so excited about: when gay bars start playing this on the dance floor. Imma lose my ironic shit.
@AkiraB: THAT'S IT! And it IS adorable, trust. And as I remember, it was that melodramatic reactionary busy-body rooster that started all the trouble.
Clear skies here in New York! Hooray!
Fine, fine. Can we focus on the real issue please? This lipstick is a mistake.
NUMBER 4 NUMBER 4 NUMBER 4 GO TO MARIE'S CRISIS NUMBER 4.
Anybody read that book, "Game Change" (Heilemann and Halperin), about the 2008 election? I got the impression that there is absolutely zero love lost between John and Cindy. These weird, contentious, miserable political marriages are so bizarre to me (though I suppose they're no different than ANY marriage of…
@flyingstitch: First place.
@S.R.: But isn't that what Dodai IS saying? I don't think the thrust of any of these posts is to highlight stars' flaws; it's to highlight the fact that the fashion industry regards those flaws as SO egregious that they must be erased outright. The arteries aside (they make me think of heroin, sorry), what is the…
