The Taboola stuff is bizarre, we make fun of it all the time. We have zero control over it aside from noting stuff that is offensive.

The main page needs to be handled better. The current site design was built for a time when we published significantly less content than we do now. A redesign is likely in 2016, and one of the top items is to give stuff like GJI a dedicated space so it's not just sprawling all over the front page.

I hate that too. Disqus just isn't built for a site with our kind of traffic. We're looking at an alternative.

Probably not, sorry.

I get that a lot from the commenters, and I don't really see it as much as other people do, but I'm amused by it. I worked with Hodgman at The Daily Show for a spell, and he was very kind to me. He did once make a remark that maybe I'd follow in his footsteps, so maybe he saw the resemblance too.

The Digest is probably going to remain on ice for the near future, but I would love for it to come back someday. Sorry to give such an unsatisfying answer.

Last Exit To Springfield

Haven't heard of this "Star Wars" you speak of

I wish I could think of a better answer for this, because there have been some hilariously bad ones. But as soon as we reject something, I pretty much forget about it completely.

I like that. Maybe we'll try it

Yup

We do not get the kind of support from Disqus that I would like. We are examining a new alternative that I think will offer better support and a better experience for users. You all will be apprised of those changes before they happen, and we'll test them on a limited basis to get feedback from loyal readers before

The iPad setup is not acceptable at the moment.

The ads have been a bit much. I'm really pushing a re-examination of the user experience right now because of well-grounded complaints like this. The site is not in financial trouble.

Some writers pay close attention, some don't. It's a personal thing. I definitely have people who I like to read and interact with, but I just think of them as internet friends, not "favorites" per se. If I start to play favorites that would be a bad look.

I love so many of the commenters. So I'll answer this by saying that I will always have a soft spot for the Gameological commenters who formed a community on a fledgling site at a time when I was getting almost no sleep because I was working so hard on it. Those good people gave me encouragement and strength at a

This is a cool idea. It probably wouldn't be an altogether separate section, but there are other ways to present content. I'll bring it up in next week's editors' meeting.

We are looking into an alternative to Disqus, and at some point I will be soliciting a beta-test group of top commenters to run it through its paces. You guys will be looped in on any changes BEFORE they happen.

Josh is always telling me B&T should be split up into more columns, which I'd love to do, but basically the only extended free time I have to do it right now is on Thursday nights. Hopefully that will change in the future. I love writing it and the commenters are fucking incredible on that feature.

Interesting! Could you tell me why you prefer this?
