Ah, good call Corndog!

I'll send a Block & Tackle prize package to the first three readers who find it! Email your answer to jteti @ this website. Hint: Your initial instinct may be correct if you have one.

P.S. Can you find the hidden Bortles?

Did you come up with "Red[ACTED]," TAFKAY, or is it a thing? Pretty clever in any case!

Can anybody figure out what he means by the Oceanic flight being the "theme" of the show? Does he even say "theme"? I kept re-listening to it, and sometimes it sounds like "fiend," but that makes even less sense. THIS REFERENCE TO A POPULAR ABC TELEVISION SHOW IS DRIVING ME CRAZY.

So nice of you to follow up on your thoughts, PFM. Great insights here, thank you for posting them!

We do call her Constance in the video this week after you guys let me know that's her name—and thank you for that, by the way! But I wasn't saying that she didn't _have_ a name, I was noting that she went unnamed in that episode last week—i.e., nobody said the word "Constance"—which is a significant writing choice

Thanks, beema, that means a lot to me.

Good point, Baulderstone. I think I didn't entirely buy my argument there either…

Fascinating stuff, Nads, thanks so much for your insightful comments and hilarious commenter name!

DURR. Thanks for the heads-up, Corndog. Just some addled late-night math.

Don't push your luck

I love Simms. He's actually not bad at breaking down individual plays on the micro level, but it's hard to notice because of all the dumb commentary he offers on the mid (e.g., in-game strategy) and macro levels. Here's the thing about Simms, though. Most color commentators struggle to fill all the minutes of a

Oh man that's such a classic bit, thank you for posting it. I was focused more on how football looks at baseball than comparing the two sports, or else I probably would have tossed Carlin in there somewhere!

Great point, Archbishop.

Aw! I did still tweet the picksssss out last week

Ha, I decided to write something instead! But now I want an IOU for those hundreds of words, so I can use them later in the season like Mike Tomlin. Write me an IOU right now, SD.

@avclub-1922cc1dc1286b56a2d99b7f1aa0630c:disqus and @disqus_BjE2P4wiPm:disqus, I felt especially sorry that I deprived you of a forum for your reliably entertaining Pats/Jets threads last week.

Well put, Sludge. There's definitely a psychological truth and, at the very least, narrative reality to it, which is why this is far from the worst cliche out there. It's kind of a shame that it's been cheapened to the point that it's basically shorthand for "A THING JUST HAPPENED!"

Aw, thank you, @avclub-d6d2193cbf0163e914ecd03db6eacd3c:disqus and @disqus_hde7I14XwM:disqus! Yup, everything is fine.
