As it happens, I was just re-playing The Last Remnant on the PC over the weekend. DHMR is right!

Agreed. The trouble here is that I'm one of only two AVC games writers who owns an iPad, and both of us already reviewed Sword & Sworcery elsewhere (Eurogamer in my case). "Double-dipping" with a review is poor form, so we just didn't have anyone to review it. When the game comes out on the iPhone, I hope to at least…
Thanks for the tip! We'll see if we can get into the next Sawbuck.
Wait, back up. "The Knoxville Cough"? That is the least scary name for a pandemic I've ever heard. It sounds more like a wacky sexual position than a biological catastrophe.
I would like to take this opportunity to say, Final Fantasy VI. Thank you.
I disagree with Sam that a Dragon Age II review written in July wouldn't have value. Well, I agree with you, Sam, in terms of what you clearly meant — that it would be awfully tardy for an initial review — but coming at it from a different angle, one of the most corrosive ideas in games is the notion that a game is no…
Ha! I would have loved that. But yeah, probably a little too tacky.
Here's a post from IBM Research explaining Watson's Daily Double-hunting strategy.
Famous Mortimer, I was told by THQ public relations that this was a U.S.-only release. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
I wonder why they even bothered with the PC edition if they were going to cripple it so much.
This one actually has the standard allotment of questions: The original YDKJ came with about 800 questions (including Jack Attacks); the reboot has the same. (There were "XL" and "XXL" editions that boasted 1,000+ questions, but those were just compilations of multiple releases.)
And you were correct, Sari. Once I got started typing "Cliff" I apparently couldn't stop.
Very kind of you to say so, and congrats on your promotion!
Although I hesitate to spoil the magic, you deserve to know that the frequency is every three weeks. Kind of a weird interval, but it does seem to work out.
Magicka is getting a full review; it will be posted next Monday.
The puzzles are a lot of fun, but yes, there certainly were portions where I was tap-tap-tapping the stylus, imploring the game to just get on with it already.
Hope And Gloria lasted two glorious seasons, ohboy, but otherwise I agree with your points, as evidenced by the fact that I explicitly acknowledged pretty much all of them in that same paragraph in the review.
The save was indeed a brilliant moment, especially after he'd appeared to be disengaged from the controversy the entire episode.
Yeah, this is a great point. It's probably not feasible, but I think the episode would have been almost perfect without the Cam/Mitchell bits. The rest was so well done and felt like it had legs to expand even further. (Of course, leaving us wanting more is never a bad thing.)
