I agree with all of these except the Cavalier. I owned a 1996 Cav and I modified the crap out of it when I was in high school. It was a great little car that I never had any mechanical issues with. Cheap interior? Sure. But Hyundai’s and Kia’s of that era were exponentially worse.

My wife has put about 10k miles on her 2019 BMW X1 xDrive35i over the past year and it’s been one of the best vehicles we’ve ever owned. All schedule maintenance and service visits are covered (free). They also have a longer warranty than most US brands.
