You must get electricity really cheaply where you’re at. I’m in Indiana connected to a smallish rural collective, and our monthly electric bills sometimes top out around $800-900. We spend around $10,000 annually on electricity.

Brownouts can be just as dangerous as a powerful spike.

I’m confused! What happened to the AR/VR headset??

That’s just all patently untrue outside of Apple having 3x the market cap. Facebook is every bit the global player that Apple is and arguably impacts just as many, if not more, users. I’ve never read such cynical Apple fanboy nonsense. I’m not even a fan of Meta, but lets keep things in perspective. Also, Apple

I you like content but also really, really like being a part of a commentariat, go to Fark dot com. It’s awesome.

Indeed they do, and that is the important part. No one is forcing them to work here; you may not be a dick, but it you insist on sitting at the table with the rest of the dicks...

Absolutely the correct take. Just because you could have kids doesn’t mean octogenarians should be having kids. At the end of the day you’re virtually guaranteeing someone else will be raising that kid which isn’t always a bad thing, but still.

If Apple came to market with something in the $1-1.5K dollar range alongside a killer app, they’d make a killing. Both AR and full VR are just waiting for that one single niche thing to send both technologies over the tipping point to make it to full mainstream acceptance.

What does “On the go” in the title mean, exactly? Yes, this device is portable, but it doesn’t appear to support any actual mobile networks, only WiFi, i.e. it can’t really “go” anywhere but maybe from your living room to your bed room. I’m trying to understand if I’ve misunderstood something here.

Ok, so, a really quick Google search of this woman shows that she is _not_, in fact, the Chair of the Georgia GOP. I find references that she is a “District” Chair, but the State of Georgia GOP website does not list her. Perhaps they just haven’t updated it this week? Regardless she is not in charge of the Republican

I have a solution for you: you should probably stop abusing yourself, and simply don’t watch any more DC based movies. Seems traumatic for you. So just stop. That way you don’t have to relive the trauma by repeatedly complaining about things you have no real impact or investment in. Problem solved!

I call BS on at least part of this. First off, Montefiore Hospital doesn’t have a Maternity Ward. Secondly, any nurse working with a gender affirmation surgical reassignment patient would have immediately understood the whole “it’s a girl” balloon announcement. It’s not that clever. So I’m left wondering what else in

Ukraine will place a standing order with one simple word in the QTY column: All. Much like Ron ordering bacon, he’ll want to make sure the waiter understands the order: I want all the bacon. Not a large amount. All of it.
Having a 12 mile range with flight time of up to 55 minutes carrying as many as three grenades, or

You misunderstand Chinese capitalism.

Quite true. But ultimately, isn’t every article about a person of interest going to fall into that argument?

I love AOC as much as the next person (really, I do), but if you can’t see that they are _exactly_ the same thing you’re not being honest with yourself. Ask yourself, would some random rich person have just given AOC $70 in free Met Gala tickets if she wasn’t a US Congressperson? No, they would not. Just as some

Josh Hawley has precisely zero room to gatekeep the definition of anything, much less masculinity. Watching this dude hustle his narrow little ass through the Capitol building, high-tailing it before the very people he had whipped into a frenzy broke through was all anyone needs to know about him. That should just be

Hulu is merging with Disney+ in the very near future. Disney bought them.

I did not know this aspect of this guy. He comes across as being a very grounded, earnest dude. Thank you for sharing this. I especially appreciated the back and forth between him and his wife.

Am I missing something here? Is this supposed to be a remake or a re-imagining, or a sequel to the 2003 Eddie Murphy Haunted Mansion movie?? And why? I’m confused.
