Oh, right. I remember now.

I think the reason for that is that there are relatively few shows which start off really promising/with a vision for at least a couple of seasons and later pick up so much viewership that they are forced to compromise basically everything.

What was the pre-show hype like for Habbinal?

Never thought I would start getting all wistful about how shitty Dexter became.

-I went from disliking this episode to absolutely loving it : something I didn't expect.
-I would characterize this episode as being about basic human decency. The only thing missing would have been for Kyle Chandler to guest star.

This film is sweet and pretty light on its feet.

If you like A Better Tomorrow, check out number 2, it's bigger budget with more thrills, etc…

I always thought that "Fong Sai Yuk" with Jet Li was a great action comedy.

I was merely proposing a few slightly less hyperbolic avenues of praise.

More like the Luc Longley I would venture to say.

Nice. Totally forgot about the Zardoz thing from that early S5 trailer.

So…After 6 episodes of True Detective:

Sooo…. regular coverage?

The funniest bits for me:

Yeah, but did you see that ludicrous display last night?

Great review.

Peter Berg.

Season one is a little shaky, with 1 or 2 episodes that are outright bad.

I find that all the 5 other episodes really work towards the finale because they all involve the gang narrowly avoiding going over the top.

I didn't read it as going to modern times at all.
