I cried during this… the soundtrack.

Just came back from the Lego Movie- boy, you guys weren't kidding.

Protip: Pay attention to the studio laughter after George says he's scared. The moment you hear the audience getting uncomfortable is just perfect and every bit as devastating as the events shown.

I utterly disagree. The poppy field manages to embody a lot of the contradictory aspects of WWI and war in general. I am aware of the associations that can be made as well as the co-opting of the poppy (mentionned in posts below) but for me, the symbol is neutral- it's not like we see British soldiers saluting graves

I've mentionned it several times before around the AVC for all to read but I shall repeat:

Thank you.

I will only confirm that the paper mask scene was very, very unsettling.

5…..Community S6 if it gets a full season order and starts in Sept. 2014.

well it's both. It's a masterpiece of television but also great for the unique reasons an animated show can be great (colour scheme, animation…).

I rewatched all 6 episodes last week and was blown away (again) at the level of complexity and cohesion of the plots.

What's japanese for "I know you understand english"?

Well I must admit that I, too am guilty of overuse of the word "meta" when I really should be saying "recursive", "reflexive" or "mise en abyme".

Everything is meta now.

Anyone notice Community writer Tim Saccardo doing the Fat Dog at the end of the episode?

This was the best Annie episode ever, both in terms of her character and as a showcase for Alison Brie's acting talent.
