Ketchup is for children.

How annoyed do you think Ariel crew was when a completely different tiny electric Batmobile set Goodwood record this year?

It’s so fast that it needs vertical stabilizers as it cuts through the air

Honestly the name Hipercar is more offensive than the styling IMO.

It’s got a lot of bat-mobile vibes going on

Holy shit. Ariel is building the car that all 7 year olds inside of us has always wanted.

I initially was going to type any Mercury ever, but then I remembered those sweet looking rides from 50s and had to adjust to a 20 year old Mercury. I think the mid 70s is when they stop being worth $20k if all original in just about any condition, but could be more like late 60s.

A quick Google (Does one capitalize proper verbs? Is there such a thing a s a proper verb? Any grammar nazis in the house?) shows that to be around 55000 smackers today. For that price I would expect at least 400 HP, so, high but in the ballpark.

Canadian chiming in.

Wow. Using a quick google search that’s considered ~$56k today, which is crazy to think about for a moderately luxurious sedan. You can get a fully loaded Chrysler 300 or Buick CUV for less than $46k right now (closest modern comp to come to mind).

In the before times, this is the grandparent special that you score for <$5k from *insert friend/family* because the previous owner can’t drive anymore. The vehicle that spent 15+ years going to church and the grocery store. I know prices have changed, but is any 20 year old Mercury worth $20k in literally any

A nice one of those, just plain old too expensive. ND

The best factory hot rod is also the only factory hot rod.

Chrysler Prowler. I really hate this car, being a false flashy pseudo retro Rod. I am glad it did not last long.

Keeping with my theme, the ‘69 Charger Daytona:

Thankfully you only need a mortician once.

“Except that Human Beings are themselves just biological machines”

It’s strange that we continue to apply the machine-body metaphor in this way where we give the machine precedence over the body, even though it is the machine that is derived from nature.

Humans are not biological machines; machines are physical

You’re arguing the wrong definition.

The concept of being post-scarcity means that everybody’s physical needs are met. Everybody has food, shelter, and medical care. You do not have to work simply to keep yourself alive.

Can these tools be used in bad ways to rip off and steal from artists? Yeah, absolutely. And that sucks, but it’s hardly some fault of the software. Art builds upon itself - Michael Kutsche’s art is also an amalgamation of different peoples’ styles. If these algorithms are straight-up copy/pasting chunks of someone’s
