As someone who has been enjoying the tweets of those scientists, it should be noted that they are some amusing light hearted fun from some intelligent people. And no, Jurassic World isn't really a dinosaur movie, rather a monster action flick. This blog post, however, lacks the clever humour of the people you've

Palatal Teeth= Teeth on the palate.

I um... I don't think they're calling for a riveting movie about paleontology. I think they want a badass dinosaur adventure, with realistic dinosaurs. I for one am fine with Jurassic-park style, non-chickeny dinosaurs in my Jurassic park movie, but you're missing the point here.

With interstellar and gravity it came the time of the astonomers and physics nerd rage, now is paleontologist nerd rage time! be free my fellow paleontologist go and tell the world everything that is wrong with Jurassic World

I'd love to make a side by side comparison of the trailers (but I don't have the time or the energy to do it) but there are a lot of repeated elements: the huge opening doors, the tour through the park, the scientist announcing that the sky is falling, the annoying kids (who won't die), the large predator at the end.

Lack of accuracy can be very immersionbreaking - if you actually know what is being inaccurate.
Odds are, the reason you don't care is because you just want to watch the movie and you don't really notice the inaccuracies.

I agree with the scientists. I mean i loved dinos as a kid and i love them still, but these guys they love em so much they dedicate their lives to them. Then finally a movie comes out that appeals to their line of work and they screw it up. Its as much science fiction as it should be actual natural history. Them

I have been surprised in the past by the number of people who think crane flies are big mosquitoes. Christ, what would happen if one bit you?

I've always liked anatomy, but I like it from both the scientific and artistic perspective. I'm an artist so studying anatomy is important. What I want to see come back, is a resergance in anatomical art, in the vein of old style etchings, where anatomy is portrayed in a more artistic fashion.

Meh... Season 2 picked up at the end and I thought season 3 was pretty good. It seems people's opinions are all over the place on this show. It seems like the only thing everyone agrees on is that most of season 2 sucked.

I remember the first half of season 2 to be plodding and generally uninteresting. it wasn't until the second half when he had already been let go that the story began moving again. The show has its flaws, but I think Darabont was getting too hung up in minutia, which isn't to say the network wasn't at fault either

It baffles me that anyone could assert the first season of Walking Dead was bad.

Pushed out because the show wasn't good?

I was curious about your thoughts about being active on social media (you have a great Twitter account, for instance.) I was wondering how you saw social media (especially Twitter!) fitting into your work as a novelist?

Do you think the human race can be saved? And are we worth saving?
