I didn’t say anything about that. I was responding to the idea that people like Schumer say, verbatim, that any criticism of Israel is tantamount to antisemitism. They don’t. That’s something critics of Israel allege about them but it’s not an officially stated position. Your issue here is entirely separate from that.

How am I confused? In my second paragraph I say that people who criticize Israeli policy say they have their criticisms dismissed as antisemitism.

I know this all seems stupid but isn’t it all part and parcel with how football itself is just meaningless nonsense? Pass interference calls are big and showy and can be isolated to highlight egregious examples but every game there’s at least a few “Oh, so that was/wasn’t holding?” moments for the offensive line and a

But that’s the thing about this whole debate. People who, generally speaking, are pro-Israel don’t say that any criticism of Israeli policy is inherently antisemitic. Schumer didn’t say that or anything close to it.

I think another part of it is that they can’t handle the idea that people can both think that Izzo acted like a ridiculous psycho while also thinking that the player in question wasn’t necessarily scarred for life. They need to frame it as thinking the player is fragile rather than Izzo’s behaviour being ridiculous

Wouldn’t she vote in New York though? She strikes me as the sort who’d split her ticket to vote for Republican Senators/Congressmen while knowing Trump won’t win the state so she gets to feel good about herself in not voting for him.

I feel like she won’t do that. She’s the kind of dipshit that would vote Libertarian or whatever.

Alright, we get it. It’s an ESPN metaphor.

That’s just a tough region right there. Corno Pronk as a 10 seed?

Again, joke’s on you. This year I’m pretty confident that the Leafs won’t be good enough to take their playoff series to 7.

Hah. Jokes on you. As a Raptors fan these last few years I’m already dead inside.

Well, he ended up on the Jets so history says no.

If the Panthers really believed that not having sex genuinely makes the mind stronger then, for the love of god, you’d think someone would tell Luke Kuechly.

I think they probably know that but they figure, at least in MLB’s case, that their owners are so rich that any sort of significant dive in rights fees will be met by locking the players out and finally getting the cap/mandated split of revenues between players/owners that they want.

I mean, it sort of seems like his argument is that the system is failing because:

I don’t think that really holds up. What would hurt the Pelicans and what they could get for him isn’t Davis saying he only wants to get traded to the Lakers, it’s that Davis has made it clear that the only team he’d sign an extension with is the Lakers. The Pelicans may not like that but if Davis has made up his mind

You may be underestimating the number of editors at The Ringer.

I quote that to say, work until your fingers are bloody nubs and your eyes are sealing shut. In the end, hard work always begets accomplishment.

It’s a Japanese reality show with the same basic structure as The Real World(6 people, evenly split M/F, all aged between 18-30 or so and living in a fancy house on camera).

Shohei was a 28 year old dude who rented a church to ask a girl if she wanted to be his girlfriend.
