I actually sort of understand his reticence to come forward with information that would upset Lebron and his crew. If he was forthright, it would probably impact them giving him tips and that is how Caddies make the bulk of their money.
Definitely John LeClair
The website features tabs for the Giants, the Jets, the Knicks, the Nets, the Devils, the Mets, the Yankees, Rutgers football, Rutgers basketball, the Eagles, the Flyers, the Red Bulls, the Rangers, the Phillies, Seton Hall, and the 76ers.
Well, let’s be real, it’s not like the Browns were’t ridiculous already.
Yeah, but it’s cricket. They could be firing rocket launchers at each other and I’d only kind of be interested.
Yeah, Colangelo was probably pound for pound funnier but the end result of it is just some doofus getting fired. This one might destroy a billion dollar company.
I think it’s fair to say that a lot of people see the current rise of the Republican party as being largely attributable to two main things, the Republicans rewarding their base when in office and the Democrats disappointing theirs.
Is it really political though? Just seems like the 21st century version of “pencil necked geek” or whatever Mr. Perfect used to call the crowd way back when.
It just seems like a fundamental misunderstanding of left-wing economic ideas. “You say you’re for government intervention in the market but opposed to the government giving billions of dollars to the banks!?!? MAKE UP YOUR MIND!”
If what the NBA was after was parity or the financial health of each team they could easily achieve that without a cap by means of revenue sharing. If the Lakers and Knicks were willing to divert their own profits into a league pool then you wouldn’t have to worry about the Pacers or Bucks being able to pay people.
I guarantee that when Trump dies and, if the country regains some measure of sanity, that Melanie/Ivanka/Jared/Lindsay Graham will be lining up to say they were basically hostages held at gunpoint.
What I love about Simmons’ take on that movie is that he doesn’t get that he likes it...because he’s old.
Yup. Just me and my irrational “Billionaires who fuck over cities and labour are bad” idiosyncracies.
No, the decision to lock out the players was entirely on the owners. There’s no way around that and cancelling the season is entirely on them. Especially when what the owners did it for is shitty and anti-labour and has led to a suppression of player salaries that was as much about making money for complete assholes…
That’s all great. The point was that rapidly increasing revenues don’t make a commissioner a genius. Hence, comparing him to other commissioners of sports that saw revenues increase. It’s really not that tricky a stretch.
While I’m sure Toronto “bowed to Amazon’s power” in some way, city officials seemed pretty adamant that they didn’t offer any subsidies in order to “win”
Both sports have drastically increased revenues under the commissioners mentioned. That’s the comparison.
Yeah, ok, but she doesn’t really have authority in any real sense there. A team can set up a nutritional program but players don’t have to follow it so I’m inclined to think she’s right that it was more jokey than, you know, marking territory.
