With the right transmission, of course.
Perfect for touring the Everglades.
I just got this exact model Rubicon. I thought I'd use it occasionally so I kept the Passat TDI as a daily driver. Two months in and I barely use the Passat and take the Jeep everywhere. I'm pretty sure anyone who has one of these for a day would feel the same way.
The answer here is the E92 M3. See why
Great post, Kat. When I took my Japanese driving lesson I was told to always expect something to be blocking the lane I was driving in. This advice was frequently true.
I had an identical ‘87 that weighed 3,500 lbs on a truck scale.
I read a story several years back about a journalist crashing a Ferrari at an intro. Their first response was to ask if the journalist was ok, if anybody else was hurt, then they replaced the car as soon as possible so the journalist could finish the drive.
I know how you feel! Right now I have a Passat TDI and an FR-S, both manual. Do you plan to track the GTI? If it's a great track car I'd trade them both in for one.
No doubt. I can't picture that being a satisfying job. But there certainly is a need for it.
Have you ever considered doing divorce law and moving to Florida? We need a guy like you here.
I pulled the trigger! I love my FR-S, I have to admit the M3 is more fun but the FR-S is amazing on a track day.
Kat it looks great and I love your posts from Japan. Please keep the coming. Do you have auto recyclers near you? I lived in Misawa in the 90’s and changed out the entire interior in my Prelude, the recyclers had everything I needed and were a huge source of great parts.
that Appi sticker on the back is from a small ski resort way up north in Japan. It definitely saw a ton of snow over there.
The Ghost!
All the races were shot in Florida, kind of telling.
I was stationed at Misawa from '95-'98 with the 35th MDG. Loved all the photos, thanks for posting.
6-10% for my E92 M3 but 60-70% for my FR-S.
and more importantly, was there a regular commenter on that forum named Michael Scott?
Jim, how do you like the performance exhaust? Does it still sound like a top fuel dragster when you first start it up? I've been sitting on the fence on whether to put one on my '12 comp package coupe.
